He was the sun, and she was the moon. A love like theirs was never destined to last.

Chasing the Moon, an all-new intense and consuming romance from author S.M. Soto is available now!

A modern-day retelling of the Greek Myth of Selene and Endymion.

He was the sun, and she was the moon. A love like theirs was never destined to last.

Selene Drake has always been the girl that blends into the background. The wallflower. Quiet. Unnoticed. Sweet as can be. It never bothered her, she preferred slinking into the shadows.

When she first laid eyes on Endymion Black, she fell irrevocably in love with him. The bad boy. Cold. Distant. Handsome as ever.

For years, she pined after the unattainable boy who had somehow burrowed his way into her heart.

Until everything changed.

One unforgettable night bridled with passion and forbidden lust destroyed her naïve heart and reshaped her innocent soul. It sent her fleeing from the only town she’d ever truly known.

Five years later, Selene is back in Dunsmuir and the boy she spent years loving in silence, has now turned into a man. A man with his sights set on her. Somehow, the tables have turned, and this time around, he’s the one doing the chasing, determined to claim her heart as his. Only, he doesn’t realize, she has a secret of her own.

One with the potential to change their lives forever.

Chasing the Moon is a full-length standalone romance.

Sandra's Review

5 out of 5 stars

Chasing the Moon is S.M Soto’s newest standalone novel. I didn’t read the synopsis so I had no idea what I was about to read and I just loved doing that. So much. I just knew that I wouldn’t want to put it down once I started because it S.M. I know it will be an emotional ride. One with some twists. I can’t say much without spoiling the story so here I go…
Selene fell in love at eleven. Her heart was broken at eighteen. She left for college and didn’t come back until six years later. Before she left she was invisible. The girl who was obsessed with the moon. The girl who didn’t go to parties. The girl who had a crush on a boy who didn’t see her. Now, she was twenty-four and wished she was that girl now. Except, it was a small-town so everyone knew she was back. Everyone knew why. And, the boy she crushed on was now a man who wanted to court her. To woo her. She didn’t know what was happening. He saw her. She should be happy but she had mixed emotions. He broke her heart without even knowing it, and she couldn’t go through it again.
Wow! What a story! It’s a roller coaster for sure. I cried. I laughed. I got angry. I felt sad. I swooned. I was all over the place. The writing is addictive. The story is engaging, and amazing. The characters are lovable. Some not so much. I am hoping to see some characters later. 🤞🏼
“For what it’s worth, I think you have the potential to do anything you want, End.”
“I guess I’ll have to stop by every day with flowers until you give me a yes, won’t I?”
Her laughter finally breaks free, and it’s so beautiful. It transforms her entire face and takes my fucking breath away.
“You can’t be serious? That’s…that’s insane.”
Shaking my head, I step into her, causing her breath to hitch. “Not insane. That’s courting, babe. And I’m just getting started.”
“Julia,” I greet, unable to hide my grin. She’s funny; I’ll give her that.
“Greek god of Dunsmuir. It’s always a pleasure.” She curtsies, and I choke on my laughter.
