Code Name: Disavowed is the eighth book in the Jameson Force Security series by Sawyer Bennett. You can read each book as standalone but I highly recommend reading the series since each book is unique and tied together. Ladd is one of the newer agents at Jameson and he is complete badass and I love that he is forty!

Greer is f*cked. She was being held against her will after being caught sneaking around an arm’s dealers home. She had been working undercover for months and now totally f*cked until he shows up. The last man she thought she would ever see again. Ladd McDermott. Her ex-fiancée and the only man she has ever loved. A man she walked away from twelve years ago and he never went after her.

When Ladd saw her picture at Jameson as a CIA agent in danger, he didn’t hesitate. He was going in. He didn’t want to see her ever again but this would make them even. What he didn’t expect was how much chemistry was still between them. He didn’t want to want her. It was there but they have their own lives in different states. It was over once again until…

That’s all I can say about that but I can say the story is full of action in and out of the bedroom. These two are badass and have a past that needs to be discussed so they can work together. I am excited about what is up next in the series!

Shelter is the second book in the Heroes of Big Sky series by Kristen Proby. You can read it as standalone but I do recommend reading at least Courage first. It is also part of the Big Sky Universe so if you have read any of them you will be seeing so many past characters. If not, then you will want to know more about their stories! I was so excited when I found out this was Seth’s story. Seth didn’t have an easy childhood, at all. Then he came to live with his father’s parents and his uncle in Cunningham Falls. That is a whole other story but it is part of him. Now, he is closing in on thirty, lives on family property, works as a ranger and loving the bachelor life. He loves his family fiercely but he doesn’t see himself married with children. Ever. One night out and he meets a woman livin’ the van life. Then she ghosts him… Remi is traveling in her van around the country after living in front of the camera for the last decade. She has nothing that ties her down. She just wants to live her life and she doesn’t see love in the future. Hiking…yes. So she does just that and ends up stuck in a chalet with the man she walked away from just a few nights ago. She likes him, she really does. Who wouldn’t. He is delicious, protective, and sweet when he wants to be and loves the outdoors. One night with him and she knows she is in trouble. I can’t get into it too much more but I can say that I loved their banter, passion, and humor. I felt their connection from beginning to end. I so, so, so loved all the cameos. His family is what #FamilyGoals is all about. I have read most of Kristen’s books and I know I say this all the time with her but it might be my favorite. Lol. Quotes: “Did you bring me up to this chalet and arrange for a snowstorm so you could take advantage of me?” I bark out a laugh. “I’m not that damn creative.” “Well, that’s just stupid. I’m a planner, Seth.” “Says the woman who’s been living by the seat of her pants in a van for several months.” I narrow my eyes. “But I planned it.” “You planned the spontaneity?” “Yes. Sort of. Stop confusing me.” “Wake up.” Seth kisses my cheek and then my shoulder. “What time is it?” “It’s about three,” he whispers. “And I have something to show you.” “I’ve seen it. And while it’s impressive, I’m tired, Seth. Let a girl sleep.”
