Starla. Just Starla.

She doesn’t have a last name, and she doesn’t need one. Not with that many Grammys on her mantel. Everyone knows her kick-ass, no-holds-barred style of singing, dancing, and living.

No one knows that America’s Sweetheart is still living with the wreckage of four years ago, when her world was torn apart. Losing her fiancé was devastating, but she’s channeled all of that into her music. Closing off her heart opened a hundred new doors.

Officer Levi Crawford, Seattle PD.

For almost twenty years, Levi has been consumed by the law. He eats, sleeps, and breathes work. Not just because he’s a workaholic, but because he loves it. Sure, he doesn’t have time for a woman and barely sees the rest of his family, but it’s a trade he’s always been happy to make.

Until Starla.

Two lonely hearts could learn to beat again, if they’re willing to dance together.

Sandra's Review

5 out of 5 stars

Dance with Me is the twelfth book in one of my my favorite series, With Me In Seattle By Kristen Proby. I can’t believe it’s the twelfth. I sadly got behind and need to read the last three. They have been waiting to be read on my iPad since their releases and they will be read soon. I am so mad at myself for doing that to them! Anyway, back to Dance with Me.
It starts out with a bang. Literally. Then the ghosting happens. Starla doesn’t have regrets but she does feel guilt. It’s been five years since she was with someone and that last someone was her fiancé. The one she lost almost five years ago. So she walked away from the sexiest cop ever when she left Seattle to continue her tour. And now, she was back and he wants answers.
Levi enjoyed their night together. More than enjoyed actually so when he hadn’t heard back from Starla, he was hurt. He wants to know what happened. And when he finds out she is in Seattle, staying at their friends’ place he goes straight over. And those feelings of happiness and lust hit once again. This time though he wants to take it slow. He wants to get to know the beautiful woman with sass and grace. He wants to make sure she knows this isn’t just a fling. But, can she handle that? She is only there for three months. Then what?
Awe! These two are so cute. They are also sexy, funny, and sweet. Levi is protective, hot, and doesn’t hide his feelings. Starla is down to earth, guarded, and beautiful inside and out. I enjoyed the slow burn of their story. Also the suspense of what they are going through. This isn’t just a love story. There is some trouble happening that needs to be done with.
Overall…it was a sexy, fun, suspenseful, and beautiful ride. I loved the characters. The storyline. The writing. It was also fun to catch up with past characters! This group is something special. It was also fantastic that they characters are in their thirties and forties!
“Where are we going?”
He sighs and stares at me in frustration. “Can’t a man surprise you just a little? I’m sweeping you off your feet here. Go get dressed.”
“Thanks.” I grin at him and almost melt into a puddle when he winks at me before walking away.
“Do you have a crush on Luke?”
“Don’t you have a crush on Luke?” I counter as we walk down to the Nirvana exhibit. “He’s ridiculously handsome.”
“I’m going to have to kill him,” Levi mutters, making me laugh.
“Jesus, you’re beautiful.”
“And you’re overdressed.”

About Kristen:

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.
