Boone is the eleventh book in the fantastic Pittsburgh Titans series by Sawyer Bennett. Each book can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series since they are interlocked. They each have a unique story and meet-cutes! Boone and Lilly’s meet-cute is both beautiful and heartbreaking.
Boone uses his spare time off the ice visiting children at the hospital. He even brings teammates along since he knows the kids would love to talk with some of their favorite players. He loves to hang out with the kids even if they have to stay in their rooms. He knows all the kids names and has become close to Aiden, a twelve year old fighting for his life. He wasn’t able to visit him for a few weeks after a procedure and on the day he was back, Aiden’s sister comes into Boone’s life and it changes everything…
Lilly didn’t have enough time in a day, between running the family deli and visiting her brother in the hospital she was lucky to eat a meal let alone date. She loved that Aiden and Boone have a connection, it made it even harder for her to resist her feelings towards the man. Even more so when he seemed to want to help not only her brother but herself and their father. What was in it for him? Was he just a good guy or was do he just want the publicity?
I don’t want to spoil anything! I will say that I knew this story would be an emotional one but damn. My name is Sandra, and I am in love with a fictional character. Boone is swoon-worthy with a beautiful heart and a protective spirit. Lilly is a complete badass and stronger than she even knows. Together, along with Aiden is a story that will make you swoon, laugh, cry, and feel every emotion within the pages. I have loved all of the books in the series but this one is unforgettable.
