When three college besties meet three hot guys in Vegas, anything can—and does—happen. Book Four in the New York Times Wild Seasons series that began with Sweet Filthy Boy (the Romantic Times book of the year that Sylvia Day called “a sexy, sweet treasure of a story”), Dirty Rowdy Thing, and Dark Wild Night.

For two people ambivalent about dating and love, they sure get naked around each other an awful lot . . .

London Hughes is very content to surf daily, tend bar, hang out with her group of friends, and slowly orient herself in the years after college. Everything’s going great and according to the non-plan.

But when a wave knocks her for a loop one morning, then Luke Sutter’s flirtatious smile knocks her for another that evening, she veers slightly off course…and into his path. Sure, he’s a total player, but the Why not—it’s only one night is a persistent voice in her ear.

For his part, Luke’s been on hookup autopilot for so long that he rarely ever pauses to consider what he’s doing. But after an amazing time with London, he realizes that he hasn’t been moving on from a devastating heartbreak so much as he’s been drifting to wherever—and whomever—the current takes him. With London he wants more.

Every relationship involves two people…plus their pasts. And as much as she enjoys her fling with Luke, when London learns about his past—more specifically, who’s in it—everything becomes the brand of complicated she strives to avoid. It’s up to Luke then to change some things in order to try and ensure he’s not something she’ll outright avoid as well.

Wicked Sexy Liar is the fourth book in the Wild Seasons Series. I have read them all and loved them! The first three were about couples that started out from a crazy night in Vegas. This time around it’s different, London is Lola’s roommate, she didn’t go to Vegas, she didn’t need to, the man to turn her world upside down was right around the corner…

The minute London sees the group of college boys at the pool table at the bar she works at she knows they are most definitely polo playing manwhores. Just the type she wants to stay away from but when one catches her eye, she can’t look away. And when that one talks to her, she knows she is in trouble…Luke is just the kind of man that could make her break her own rules.

Luke and London have a few things in common from the start. They were both in long term relationships with people that they thought would be their forever. They ways they dealt with the heartbreak were polar opposites. Luke over the years went with the random hook-ups and London didn’t do anything. She stayed clear of men. But, what they both know is that they are not ready for a commitment. So, a one-night stand is all they can give but when that one-night turns into two with a movie attached, things get complicated. They also find out that San Diego is a lot smaller than they realized and they have more in common then they realized.

Luke and London’s relationship is twisted up in knots. London has her trust issues with men and with Luke and his past and even present ways, she is not sure if he just sees her as a challenge. Another bartender to bang. Another number added to his phone. And Luke is just as confused. Does London even want him for more than just sex?

I loved this story! Luke and London are hilarious. Their banter is perfection. Their chemistry is hot. They also have some big decisions to make but with the humor and sexy times, they make it fun.

Overall, Wicked Sexy Liar is a great addition to the Seasons Series! I am still hoping for a Not-Joe book. But, I did enjoy seeing how the couples from the previous books are doing, that’s always fun.

Quotes:

“Settle down, I’m just happy to be the first. I’m not planting a flag or anything.”

“It just…it wasn’t a good idea, and I lied.”
“There is your first mistake,” Lola says. “You couldn’t even keep a straight face when I asked if you ate all my Corn Flakes.”

“I bet you don’t even like scotch,” she teases. “Do you have a real penis?”

“Logan,” he says this time, a bit more forcefully to get my attention.

Wicked Sexy Liar is the story of London and Luke. London is Lola’s roommate and we learn that Luke has a connection to the group. London has sworn off men, but being a bartender means she’s never at a loss for men trying to get her. She loves her life of surfing during the day and tending bar at night. She misses sex though and really wants one night with a stranger. Luke is a player. Big time. He always has his nose in his phone and he’s surrounded by women. London thinks he’s sexy and funny and she wants her one night with him. She walks away but can’t forget him and since he keeps coming to the bar to see her, she really can’t get him out of her mind. Luke doesn’t know why, but he can’t stay away from London. He has other offers, but none of them sound or feel right. He isn’t afraid of commitment, he’s done that before, but he’s not sure he knows how to do it again. Just when Luke realizes he wants more, London finds out who he is. They are fighting against each other and Luke’s determined to win. Can London forget his past and move into the future with him? Will Luke’s past define him forever? I loved this story! Luke is hot, sexy, funny and can laugh at himself. They give each other such crap that’s it’s refreshing how much they laugh together.
