Dear Love Vixen,

You know the saying “always a bridesmaid, never a bride?” That’s me. I’ve stood beside six best friends, with the seventh to marry the man of her dreams in less than a month. I’ve tried everything, from dating apps to websites that promise to find you deep, meaningful love, only to set you up with a dud who leaves you with the whole check. So, I’m done. Throwing in the towel. Over dating. I’m just going to sit here and wait for it to show up on my doorstep like pizza delivery. I’m… Ugh! Sorry, my neighbor is horrible! I wish you could hear how loud and annoying he is. He’s the worst, even if he is slightly gorgeous. The problem is… he knows it. Anyway, back to my issue. I’m tired of looking for love in all the wrong places! (Wow, cue Johnny Lee.) Help!
Sincerely,
Waiting in Washington
Dear Lady in Waiting,
You’re going about this all wrong. Don’t think of it as giving up. Think of it as the perfect time to do some inner soul-searching and find out exactly who you are and what you have to offer those you love. You know I always say, you’ll never find love until you find yourself.
Sweetie, I wish I could tell you a timeline, but there isn’t one. Finding true love could take years or it could be closer than you think.
Good luck, hon!
The ♥️ Vixen

Waiting For Love is Lacey Black’s story in the The Love Vixen series. A series of twelve stories surround The Love Vixen podcast. I have read all of Lacey’s books and have loved them all. This one is all about neighbors and fate.
Penelope enjoys her time at home. She lives in a small town and has a cute little house with a big garden. She enjoys her quiet and works from home as a buyer for a toy store. She has given up dating after her dates have been dud after dud. She is the last of her college group to find love. She is just over it. She even wrote the Love Vixen for advice and she gave her some good feedback. She needs to do some soul-searching! It would be a lot easier if her noisy-ass but gorgeously annoying neighbor would keep it down in his garage. She also needs to get ready for a wedding weekend. Another wedding where she is a bridesmaid and this time she is the only single one. Fun times, right?
Theo doesn’t even want to date. He just wants to work in his shop and get under his hot neighbor’s skin. That is all he needs. He doesn’t know what her problem is but when she gets upset, it just turns him on. He might have a little crush on her. Maybe. One he needs to get over. Stat. Maybe he should think about dating, after all.
Omg! These two. You could feel the sexual tension through the pages. This book is a slow-burn with the best foreplay. I wish I had time to read more books in the series and discover more authors. Hopefully one day it will happen.
Quotes:
“So, Penelope,” Mom asks, a huge smile on her face. “Do you like manicotti?”
His touch is like gasoline to an already burning fire. It engulfs, the flames spreading through my veins.
We both glance down at the same time and watch her cat circle my legs, rubbing her body along my pants. “She likes you more than she likes me,” Penelope observes.
“I have a way with…”
“Don’t you dare say it.”
