The Whole Time is the fourth book in the D’Angelo’s series by Catherine Bybee. I’m loving this series full of Italians, family, friends, wine, food and love. We’ve met both Serena (family friend and Chloe’s best friend) and Ryan (Emma’s brother) before and I was so excited when I found out they were getting a story. Together! They are both wild, carefree, not interested in following in the footprints of their families and hard workers. When they meet at Emma’s wedding, sparks fly and some flirty shenanigans just make the night epic. Ryan knows Serena is skittish, but he’s in for the long haul. He’s going to wait her out, charm her and make her fall for him. It’s not as hard as he thought it was going to be! Serena wants to be on her own. Take care of herself and earn money her way. Being with Ryan jeopardizes that, right? He’s rich, she’s not. What will people think? Turns out, Ryan is more down to earth and sweeter than she thought. He’s also not flaunting his money and he works hard to earn his own. So what’s holding her back? Nothing really! When Serena decides she’s in, she jumps! I loved these two! They are perfect for each other. While both wild, they are also grounded. They are also adults who communicate. Serena may be less forthcoming, but Ryan knows this and loves it about her. A few secrets won’t tear them apart. I loved seeing the family again! Overall, I loved it! I laughed, teared up, cheered and smiled a lot. Ryan is swoonworthly!
