Title: Order
Series: Tattoos and Ties #2
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M MC Romance
Release Date: March 5, 2019

Order is the second book in the Tattoos and Ties Duet by the talented duo, Kindle Alexander. It can not be read as a standalone so you must read Havoc first. Order starts where Havoc ended. Six months after Keyes and Alec first met. The synopsis is is perfect so I will make this fast.
Alec and Keyes have been hiding their relationship over the last six months. And they will have to keep it that way if they want to stay safe. Between Alec working in the DA’s office and Keyes being a member of the Disciples of Havoc MC they can’t risk being seen in public together. Inside their bubble is full of heat, heart, and laughs. But, Keyes still doesn’t understand why Alec would want a man like him. He believes Alec deserves someone better. Someone he could go on actual dates with. Someone who couldn’t get him killed. Will Alec be able to show Keyes that his feelings are real? That they are not clouded by their mind blowing sex. That Keyes is the man he wants a future with.
I loved this duet. Hard. It’s full of action. Sexually and otherwise. Between the MC and the DA’s office these two have their work cut out for them. Its like the world wants them apart when fate wants them together. They are complete opposites on the outside but on the inside they both want the same thing. An Us. Will they get their happily ever after?
Overall…I love Alec & Keyes. The story was every thing I expected and more. I hope to see them again in future books. I need more!
P.S it’s so cute how they call each other His Mister.
Quotes:
Fairytales were for children’s books, and he sure as hell didn’t live in a damn book.
“Come on, Batman! To the Batcave, my engine needs revving.”
“You make me mad with need. Want you to feel half of what I feel when I’m with you.”

Order is the second book in the Tattoos and Ties Duet. You really do need to read Havoc first since this is an immediate continuation of Keyes and Alec’s story. Kindle Alexander broke my m/m cherry and I haven’t looked back since! This writing duo is one of my favorites. They always give us the angst, sexiness, lovable characters, humor and the sexiness. Key and Alec couldn’t be more opposite, but they are making their life together work. It’s not always easy, and when feelings are involved, it’s harder to navigate. They are on opposite sides of the law, but they lay their heads next to each other every night. While they both ultimately want the same thing, their happily ever after, the secrets they are keeping from each other could be their downfall. Key is afraid for Alec’s life if the club finds out they are involved. Alec is afraid of losing Key. In the end, they have to come clean, communicate and get on the same side. Will Key and Alec get a chance at their forever? I loved this story! There was just enough angst to keep me invested and the dynamic between Key and Alec is so much fun. Key doesn’t like to talk and Alec can’t stop talking! Overall, I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered and felt so hopeful!

Oh hell. Key had always been mouthwatering, but this…”You’re handsome.”

Key chuckled. “Surprised about that?”

“No…”

“I wasn’t the one withholdin’ sex. No more of that bullshit. Understood?”

“We’ll talk about that too. Come on.”

“Why do we have to talk so much? Just agree.”

“I’ll ride you about this, so much so that you’ll stay out of situations like this just so you don’t have to listen to me bitch.”

“Oh hell, I know how much you like your fuckin’ words, but my  mind kinda stayed in the gutter after you offered to ride me.”

“… full of emotion that guides a journey that will tug at your heartstrings. I loved every word and look forward to more from this crew of characters that only Kindle Alexander can create” ~Amazon Review

“This is a fast-paced book with action, adventure, a little mystery, and a whole lotta hot loving.” ~Amazon Review

“Their chemistry set my ereader on fire, and the HEA ending left me cheering so loud…” ~Amazon Review

Release Tour, Excerpt & *Giveaway* – The Solidity of Us, Shana Vanterpool

March 5, 2019 By

Title: The Solidity of Us
Author: Shana Vanterpool
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: March 5, 2019

Beauty that close mixed with such turmoil was a cocktail of enriched poison—I wanted to drink it anyway…

Things with Cade didn’t start that way. They weren’t that easy, and they weren’t that smooth, but I assure you, some of the best love stories didn’t start out with ease and without bumps. How can anything that’s solid be simple? Cade and I both needed a solid ground. We’d earned it.

This is the story of how I, Bray Gideon, Los Angeles transplant, lost soul, ran away to her mother’s hometown of Well Water, Kentucky, and discovered how love could heal the wounds of the past and strengthen the hope of my future.

This is the story of Cade Montgomery, a man who’d ran for so long all it took was one night with the right woman to set his demons free. And boy, did those demons hurt. They got in the way and they held his happiness over his head and mocked his scars.

Those demons took as much as they ruined.

But love was stronger.

It was greater.

Love was… solid.
I rolled over in bed and stared at my coffee candle. My room smelled of the rich, dark liquid I missed so much. Reminded me of the man I missed for no other reason than because when Cade wasn’t there, something felt like it was missing.
I heard his car door close around midnight. I waited a beat and then got up, tiptoeing down the hall and around the back to listen near my grandparent’s door. Two sets of snoring resonated from the other side. Relieved, I continued tiptoeing until I’d gotten my shoes on and the front door open. On the other side of the screen door, I spotted Cade sitting under the dogwood tree in my grandparent’s front lawn.
It was dark, but the moon was bright, and the summer heat still radiated off the hood of his Lexus parked on the curb. The scent of the perennials in the garden out front were thick and floral, warmed all day by the sun. The street was quiet, making the sounds of the cicadas nearby deafening.
I carefully stepped out of the screen door and shut both behind me. I crossed my arms over my chest and walked down to the dogwood tree.
“My mother used to say that hearing a cicada in the summer was good luck,” he announced, his voice low. “They mean you’re about to get a second chance.” He watched me. “Can’t be a coincidence.”
I hugged myself; I didn’t know what to say.
He nodded to himself. “Okay, you don’t want to talk, then can you please listen?”
I shifted from foot to foot, hugging myself tighter. Squeezing my tears tight in case they escaped. If one escaped, many more would follow. And I’d be on my knees under the dogwood tree. Begging him for so much, I didn’t know where to even begin. “Yes.”
He took a deep breath in preparation, and then Cade Montgomery laid it all out on the line. “I did not and will not bail out my father. He’ll sit in jail until his sentencing and then he’ll sit in there for years for what he did to you. And you know what? I’m so damn relieved.” Tears burst through his eyes. “I’m relieved that he’ll be in jail. For the first time in my life I won’t have to worry about him. I feel free in a messed-up way. But in others, I feel more lost than ever before. I don’t know how to say I’m sorry, how to convey how bad I feel for leaving you with him. For the hurt and worry and pain you endured. I’m sorry I was an asshole when we met. I’m sorry I continued to be an asshole. I’m sorry that I was afraid and took it out on you.” He took an uneven, ragged breath. “I gave my ex-wife what she wanted. Half of everything and she signed the divorce papers two nights ago. I’m officially divorced and she’s out of my life. I settled with the network and they’re paying out my contract. I don’t have a job, but I’ll have the money to take the time to find a new one and the money to take care of you and the baby. I hired a realtor to sell my father’s property and she already found someone interested in the almond groves. I did everything I could.” He pushed to his feet and since the roots of the tree were higher and gnarled, they gave him an advantage over me. “Here’s what I want. I want you to move in with me into the goldenrod house. I want a second chance. To be everything you wanted and deserved from the beginning. I was so caught up in everything falling down around me, I thought you were one more hammer falling. But you weren’t. You were a gift, and I was terrified of ruining a gift that was so perfect for me I couldn’t have asked for anything else if I’d known myself well enough to ask. I want this baby more than I’ve ever wanted anything. I want you and I want us. But I know you need time. I know you blame me for a lot, and you’re right to blame me. I messed up. Move in with me and give us both what we want. A second chance.”
Oh, hell.
Could he be any more transparent?
My heart was tattered and torn, eager to feel and accept the balm of his words.

I wasn’t like my mother. I wanted what she detested. I wanted security, normalness, and solid ground. She ran from Well Water and I ran to Well Water. In a moment where she would say no, I found myself saying, “Yes.”

Assistant District Attorney Alec Pierce wants a future with the sexy, tough-talking biker who came to his rescue six months ago. But when evidence capable of destroying his future comes to light, Alec sets a plan in motion to keep the man he loves from a district attorney bent on vengeance.

Will Alec’s efforts pay off or will he destroy them both in the process?

As a Disciples of Havoc member, Keyes Dixon rides the line between society’s moral code and that of his brothers. He straddles two worlds… One owns him and the other seduces him with the promise of a future. But when a rush to judgment has him swerving to miss the roadblocks suddenly in his lane, he’ll have to choose between the club that demands his loyalty and the gorgeous assistant district attorney who deserves his commitment.

Can Keyes escape his circumstances to take a chance on a future he wants?

Six months into what started as a one-night stand, both men must navigate their developing feelings as they remain bound by differing oaths that threaten to drive them apart. Not only does their future hang in the balance of opposing forces, but an unexpected strike of the gavel could send them on a collision course neither is prepared for.

Will havoc continue to determine their lives or is their love strong enough to bring order?

They came from two different worlds.

Fuck. Keyes’s eyes closed as the illusion that they’d somehow found their balance began to shatter. The pain in his chest grew, hurting on a level he couldn’t quite absorb, and that said a lot since his parents had really done a number on him as a kid.

He had seen enough about the world to know words like I love you were a conditional misconception, something said by people who didn’t understand what life was about. Keyes was never going to be good enough for Alec’s world, and at some point, Alec would get tired of isolating himself inside this house. Keyes couldn’t even imagine a time they could ever go out in public together. If for some unseen reason that time came, what the fuck would they do?

If the situation wasn’t so damned dire, he’d laugh at the mental image of Alec at a club BBQ. Club whores hanging out with Alec Peirce… What a fucking joke. His bothers would never understand whatever this was between him and the attorney.

Resentment and anger slithered up his spine and coiled around his heart. Fuck, if he wasn’t so much more comfortable with those emotions.

Nothing had changed between them. They were a good time, nothing more. Fuck his heart’s vehement denial. Where his heart and his head completely agreed, there was no way a good guy like Alec would continue to love him if he ever found out the truth of everything Keyes had done in his life. Hell, he’d been on a drug run less than a week ago. Alec wouldn’t understand why he did the things he had.

No matter what happened right now, their end didn’t change. They didn’t fit no matter how much he wished they did. White hot pain lanced through the useless organ in his chest. It hurt so fucking bad to think of Alec leaving him.

“Babe, your heart’s pounding,” Alec murmured, laying a warm hand dead center of his chest. Whatever Alec felt caused him to lift his head and open his eyes wider. “What’s going on? Are you okay?”

This was too much. How could he have let hope, of all things, cloud his reality? Hope and fairytales went hand in hand, both big fucking wastes of mind-space. He wanted to cry, which pissed him off even more. Thank God for the burst of anger, because now the bullshit pain wasn’t the only thing driving him. Keyes bucked his body out from underneath Alec’s and flipped the covers off, sending his phone flying. He literally jumped out of bed, making a beeline for his jeans draped over the bedroom chair. He shoved his feet in the legs of his jeans, forgoing his underwear. He needed out of this house. He couldn’t fucking breathe. He needed to be back in his world, back to what he knew, and never venture out again.

Luckily, Alec had removed his jeans in such a way that his keys, wallet, and belt were still in place. Keyes shoved his dick inside, zipping himself up as the memory of the unspoken need darkening Alec’s eyes when he’d arrived last night sent his rage skyrocketing. He didn’t get the jeans much more than zipped when he dropped down in the chair and started to shove his sockless feet inside his dirty work boots.

“What’s happened, Key?” Alec asked, his tone even but on the controlled edge of panic. Keyes looked up to catch Alec pulling on his athletic shorts which spoke volumes about the gravity of the situation.

Find out in this all-new standalone novel…

I Bet You is Ilsa Madden-Mills’ newest fun, sexy, flirty, angsty, swoony romance! I absolutely loved I Dare You and you don’t have to have read that to thoroughly enjoy I Bet You, but you should because it was awesome! I know I said this in my last Ilsa review, but I have to repeat it. I don’t know how she does it, but every new hero of hers becomes my new favorite. I feel like such a hussy! It’s like the others just fade away into the recesses of my heart and the new one comes barreling forward and takes hold. Smiling and pressing and making me fall in love with him. Ryker, QB1, you stole my heart with your awkwardness, your fuzzy chest hair, your nervous habits and your romantic heart. Penelope put up a good fight! She’s so damn pretty and smart and has your number. She’s not a jersey chaser and she’ll always tell you how it is. She loves romance novels and vampires and you love football and girls. You have your work cut out for you! Ryker wants this girl. Penelope isn’t like any other girl he’s ever met. She doesn’t care that he’s the quarterback. She’s sexy, loves her colored lip balm, is tall as hell and there’s just something about her that calls to him. Penelope doesn’t even like Ryker. Sure, he’s sexy and built, has that dimple that drives her wild, and that hairy chest? She can’t help but love it and want to run her fingers through it. But he’s a player and men like him never stay. Right?! Except Ryker is being real. He can’t stop thinking about her. He misses her and he seems to be there when she needs him. How can he prove that she’s not just a bet? That she’s the girl of his dreams. He can’t lose her, not now. Wow, I can’t even express how much I LOVED this story! It’s just perfect. Ryker and Penelope made me laugh out loud, smile, sigh, yell, swoon, cry and just feel. I didn’t want to put it down once I started and I kept hoping there was more when I was done. They are one of my favorite couples of the year!

He smells like alpha male and sex. Hard, passionate sex that makes you orgasm fast and furious.

“What do you want anyway? I’m busy.”

“Damn. No one talks to me the way you do.”

“I see you for what you are.”

“A hot quarterback?”

“An asshole.”

“Some girls love assholes.”

“I don’t.”

There’s something mesmerizing about her that calls to the caveman in me and brings all my alpha instincts to the surface. She’s part goofy but clever. Hot but innocent. Her lips are fucking perfect. And that long red hair…

“You’d have pretty babies together.” Blaze says.

“Are you drunk?”

“I’ve had a few, but just because I’m a football player doesn’t mean I’m not romantic and shit.”

“There’s only one reason a guy shows up at a girl’s house at one in the morning.”

“But you aren’t they kind of girl. Goddamn, you’re beautiful.”

“That, babe, is third base first class.”

Sandra's Review

I Bet You is the second book in the Hooking Up series by the ever-so talented, Ilsa Madden-Mills. It can be read as a standalone novel but I did met Ryker in I Dare You. I liked him then have totally fallen hard for him today.
Penelope hates Ryker. The cocky jock with jersey chasers all over him. He seems to think he is God’s gift to football and women but all she sees is a douchebag. A sexy one who she can’t get out of her head or her journal. Asshole. She doesn’t do football players. She especially doesn’t do quarterbacks. So, why does she feel a zing every time they touch? And when he kisses her…sparks fly. She shouldn’t want to kiss him again. She shouldn’t trust him. Especially when he says he will get her the man she is crushing on. Why would he do that? They aren’t friends. He didn’t even notice her until she called him out last semester.
Ryker and Penelope’s relationship is well…complicated. He confuses her. She intrigued him. What they both are is awkward when it comes to them being in the same room. But at the same time they feel at ease. Maybe because they know they won’t go there with each other. She is crushing on a guy who gets excited about mechanical pencils. And Penelope is not his type. But, you know what they say about how opposites attract. Can he prove to Penelope that he is not like all the others? And if he does, will it be too late?
I am in LOVE with this book!! The characters are addicting along with their story. I haven’t laughed out loud so much while reading in a long time. I want to read her journal. They are fucking hilarious with their banter. Banter full of flirt, swoon, and attitude. They are both strong characters in their own ways. I loved them as enemies, friends, and lovers.
Overall…it’s my favorite Ilsa book to date! I read it in one sitting. I didn’t want it to end even though I was swiping my iPad like a crazy person. I had to know what they were going to say or do next. I also enjoyed the supporting characters. I am really hoping for the next book to be ______’s story.
P.S. I ❤️ Vampire Bill. And I ❤️ Penelope’s clothes!
Quotes:
“For a writer, you seem to be at a loss for words. Do I make you speechless, Penelope?”
I scoff. “No.”
So, if I shave my chest hair off and toss on some glitter lotion, you’ll be into me?I burst out laughing.
Maybe.
Done.
OMG. Stop teasing me. I’m giggling.
Who said I was teasing?
“You only put that stuff on when you’re nervous.”
“Not true.”
“Don’t even try with me.”

Cover Reveal & *Giveaway* – Havoc, Kindle Alexander

October 31, 2018 By

Title: Havoc
Series: Tattoos & Ties #1
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M MC Romance
Release Date: November 27, 2018
Cover Art: Reese Dante
Keyes Dixon’s life is challenging enough as a full patch member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club but being a gay biker leaves him traveling down one tough road. With an abusive past and his vow to the club cementing his future, he doesn’t believe in love and steers clear of commitment. But a midnight ride leads to a chance meeting with a sexy pretty-boy in a wicked hot sports car that has him going down quicker than a Harley on ice.
Cocky Assistant District Attorney Alec Pierce lives in the shadow of his politically connected family. A life of privilege doesn’t equal a life of love, a fact made obvious at every family gathering. Driven yet lonely, Alec yields to his family’s demands for his career path, hoping for the acceptance he craves. Until he meets a gorgeous biker who tips the scales in the favor of truth…and he can no longer live a lie.
Can two men from completely different worlds…and sides of the law…find common ground, or will all their desires only wreak Havoc?
The screen illuminated Alec’s face, and even though Keyes wasn’t religious, he swore he heard the angels sing in that moment… The sight stole Keyes’s breath. He came to a stop directly in front of the tempting driver. Resting both hands on his hips, he got lost just looking at this beautiful man. Keyes opened his mouth to speak. He could absolutely take care of this problem, but the words didn’t come. Instead, he stayed mesmerized by the most gorgeous guy he’d ever seen.
“I have roadside assistance. I just have to remember which app to use.”
Keyes almost lost his bad boy composure when Alec distractedly glanced up from his phone and winked at him. Hold it together, Key. He finally got his head to stop spinning and all the cheesy porn music to quit playing on continuous loop in the background. Alec probably just had a twitch. Why would the guy be flirting with him? On the off chance Alec happened to be gay, Keyes obviously wasn’t his type if the passenger were anything to go by. There was nothing refined or delicate about Key.
Even with the neurons misfiring in Keyes’s brain, he managed to clear his throat and lower his gaze to the grass to help find some fucking perspective. “Where you headed?” Wait. That wasn’t the statement he’d planned to make.
“I live in McKinney. He lives in the Uptown area of Dallas,” Alec answered, reading the screen as he cocked his head toward his putout passenger.
“What’re you doin’ out here?” Keyes asked. McKinney was a long way from the current location and as different as two places could possibly be.
Alec gave a humorless laugh while briefly lifting his gaze from the screen. Curious light eyes pinned Keyes in place. He wasn’t sure he’d ever seen eyes that color. Keyes’s mouth watered, and his cock plumped, homing in on exactly what it wanted. “Google Maps said this was a detour. Hang on.” Alec lifted the phone to his ear. Keyes could hear a faint sound of a voice on the other end. “I’m on some side road in maybe South Dallas, perhaps even North Ellis County. Can you find my location?”
“Listen, I can take care of this. I own a tire shop that’s about fifteen minutes from here.” For the first time since the car had spun off the road, Alec truly looked at him. Their gazes connected for one maybe two heartbeats before Alec’s brow wrinkled and his eyes lowered. Keyes felt the weight of Alec’s stare as his eyes blatantly roamed the length of his body. Not only did his dick stand at attention but the damn thing attempted to parade down Main Street waving a rainbow-colored flag. A range of expressions crossed Alec’s handsome face until the hand holding the phone lowered and those extraordinary eyes were back on his. Had the guy noticed the impromptu party taking place in his pants? Keyes shifted his weight to his other foot.

“I’m Alec Pierce.”

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.
