They met when they were kids.

They were friends, lovers, and then husband and wife.

They were supposed to be together forever.
He was her Superman.
She was his happiness.

And then he went pro.
And she doubted something that was supposed to be forever.
Mistakes were made in exchange for dreams, and hearts were shattered.
Their forever crumbled right before their eyes.

He went on to play for the Washington Warriors. He ate, breathed, and slept professional hockey. All he had left after her was the ice. He was in magazines, he won a Stanley Cup, and he had a crowd of people screaming his name. He had everything. Didn’t he?

It’s hard to move on from an addiction, and she was addicted. Drunk on love too early on, she never truly moved on from her first love. She faded in and out of life, trying to ignore her need. But bad habits have a way of coming back when you least expect them too.

For years they went separate ways, until her Superman falls from the sky.

He was on a helicopter after a big win when the engine cut out. He knows he’s not making it out alive. Even with the screams of his teammates shouting in the background as they crash toward earth, all he can think of is her. He’ll never get to see her again…

Love is unforgiving dragging her back to heartache. She only wants to help him get better from the accident and move on with her life. She never planned on falling back in love with him. She never planned on falling so hard a second time.

Lovesick and broken, they crash right back into each other.

Blog Tour, Reviews & *Giveaway* – Reservations, Kindle Alexander

Genre: M/M Romance

Amazon Review – ““Reservations” by Kindle Alexander is a rare gem in the world of M/M Romance, because it is genuinely compelling story telling!”

Amazon Review – “Thane & Levi stole my heart!!”

Amazon Review – “Thane and Levi!! Simply amazing”

Amazon Review – “A beautifully written love story that is guaranteed to melt you heart!”

Wildly successful entrepreneur, Thane Walker is stubbornly set in his ways. Adamantly resistant to the shackles of commitment, he’s seen enough unhappy endings to learn the best way to play is by keeping his men on the payroll.

Levi Silva’s dream of graduating from one of the country’s top medical schools is in his grasp, until news from home changes everything. Now, he’s raising his two teenage brothers and trying to keep everyone’s head above water, emotionally and financially.

When Levi’s new job puts him in Thane’s path, their chemistry explodes, but their fear of being involved in relationships keeps them apart. Unfortunately, despite the intense desire drawing them together, neither man can move forward until they get past their own…Reservations.

Reservations is the newest addition to the fantastic library of Kindle Alexander. These women know how to write sexy, sweet, commanding men with emotion, humor, reluctance and tenderness. I literally drop everything I’m doing to read one of their books. I’ve been a fan for years and they continue to entertain, wow and exceed every one of my expectations. Reservations is Thane and Levi’s story. Thane is rich, handsome and doesn’t do conventional relationships. He prefers money to exchange hands so there are no doubts about where it’s headed. That is until he sees Levi. He’s tall, gorgeous, with reddish hair and killer green eyes. My heart stopped when they saw each other. It was more than mutual attraction, it was love at first sight. But Thane doesn’t do love. His parents didn’t show him what love was supposed to look like. He wants Levi in his bed, no doubt about that, but he also wants more. He’s never had a reaction to another man like this but he only knows one way. Levi is struggling in life. He had to leave school and come home to take care of his teenage brothers. He’s working two jobs and barely making ends meet. When his friend Julian offers him a job, he can’t turn it down. The money is great even though he’s reluctant to work in that particular place. Turns out he’s a natural. His smile gets him good tips and his body makes all the men want him. But Levi isn’t looking for a hook up. Or to be paid. When he sees Thane, he can’t control his reaction. He’s turned on and so much more. He can’t believe someone like that would want someone like him. But there’s a catch and Levi isn’t biting. Especially after one night of unbridled passion. Thane isn’t going to give up and Levi isn’t going to give in. What happens when their chemistry keeps drawing them together? Can they compromise or will Thane finally go all in for the first time in his life? I loved this story! So. Much. It’s effing hot as hell, but it’s also sweet and funny. I loved watching Thane realize what was happening to him. He changed right before my eyes. Levi wants Thane, but his hang-ups are real and he just needed to see past them. Together they are damn near on fire. Add in Levi’s brothers, Luke and Logan, and I was sighing and awing and crying. I loved the relationship between the brothers and the way Thane wanted in. It warmed my heart. Levi surprised the hell outta me with his domineering ways and Thane loved every minute of it. Overall, I laughed, cried, swooned, got hot and bothered and didn’t want it to end. I loved seeing past characters! I miss them all!

Thane had just upped the game in the kiss department. Damn, the  man could kiss. He wasn’t sure he’d ever been kissed so thoroughly in his life.

The Thane-effect.

Thane completed him, made him whole. He filled in all the cracks and broken edges that his life had created.

“It’s like this. I’m a domestic beer. Maybe even a domestic generic beer like a Keystone and you’re an Antarctic Nail Ale that everyone wishes they could have.”

Sandra's Review

Reservations is a standalone novel by the amazing Kindle Alexander. One of my favorite duos in the writing world. I know when I open one of their books I will laugh, cry, and get all kinds of hot and bothered. Reservations did just that. I don’t wait to spoil anything so I will make this fast.
Thane wanted Levi from the moment he saw him. He was exactly his type and because of that it was important that he proposes a deal to Levi that most men would jump at. Money speaks volumes. He doesn’t want commitment. He doesn’t want feelings to be exchanged. He only wants sex. Nothing more and nothing less. And when Levi denies him that makes Thane want him even more. A man has never intrigued him like Levi has. A man has never made him think like Levi has. That is all before he even touches him. What will happen once he does? Will he walk away once he gets what he wanted from the sexy red headed waiter?
Levi is stunned. Thrown off kilter the moment he sees Thane. He is too much. Too sophisticated. Too everything but there was definitely a connection. That is why he needs to stay away from the man. He needs to concentrate on his home life. Taking care of his two teenage brothers. Making enough money to support them and to eventually go back to medical school across the country. He definitely doesn’t have the time or energy for a man like Thane. But, what if…
Thane and Levi’s relationship is complicated, sexy as hell, frustrating, emotional, and did I say sexy? Thane has his hang ups about relationships. Levi has more than himself to think about. Can these two get on the same page and have a future together?
I loved these two! They have their obstacles. Levi is determined, sweet, stubborn, and sexy without realizing it. Thane is stubborn as well but he is trying to do whatever it takes to see Levi. He is also caring, sweet, and protective. Together, their chemistry is off the charts. Their banter is fun and serious at the same time. I also loved that Levi’s brothers, Logan and Luke are not just an afterthought in the book, they are right there with Levi. Well…not all the time but he is always thinking about them and how to keep them all together. I loved them as well. They are a lot of fun and have real life issues to deal with.
Overall…it’s a rollercoaster of a ride. A hot, fun, and emotional ride. I am looking forward to the next book by these amazing authors.
Quotes:
Thane Walker was a temptation he couldn’t afford to tangle with, but unfortunately, all his thoughts centered on that man.
“It’s like this. I’m a domestic beer. Maybe even a domestic generic beer like a Keystone and you’re an Antarctic Nail Ale that everyone wishes they could have.”
“But Thane didn’t seem to think like that. He was cool and he got tiramisu and double dark chocolate. Anyone who eats that combination of flavors together doesn’t live by society’s rules,” Luke stated emphatically.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

Mission: Christmas by Skye Turner

Exes and Ho Ho Ho’s
Lacey Black
Exes and Ho Ho Ho’s is a novella by the very talented Lacey Black. I have read all of her books and loved each and every one of them. This story is not part of any of her other books. Thank you, Lacey for giving us new characters to love!
Brandon Frost is not a fan of the holiday season. Noel Winters is one of its biggest fans even though it reminds her of heartbreak. It’s been five years since the day that changed their path. Five years since they heard each other’s voice. Five years since they felt that pull. Five years since they were happy. And now, they had their chance to say their piece and move on.
Noel hates him. He knows it. More importantly he knows he deserves it. He thought he was over her but seeing her again has lit him up like a Christmas tree. Over the years he let woman in his bed but never in his heart. Was she the reason why he never felt a connection to anyone else? He knew the answer and it was time for him to man the fuck up.
Why does he have to look so good and be so… him? Arrogant, smooth, and smell so delicious. Damn him. She hates him and now his punishment is her punishment. The next five Saturdays were not theirs anymore. They belong to Mr. & Mrs. Claus’. The jolliest married couple ever and they have to pretend to be them. Can they make it through this holiday season together?
I loved this story! It’s so much fun, flirty, and full of holiday joy. Christmas, love, and second chances? The trifecta of hope. It’s a short book but it’s full of heart, laughter, and flirty banter.
Quotes:
“I don’t recall you ever wearing anything this sexy back in school.”
“Oh, Mrs. Claus, you have no idea just how naughty I am.”
“Stop looking at me like that or I’ll forget about trying to be a gentleman,” he growls.

Exes and Ho Ho Ho’s is Lacey Black’s newest book. It’s a second chance novella and it’s Christmas themed. Lacey, Christmas and second chances. Three of my favorite things! Even though this is a novella is packs all the punches of a full length Lacey novel. I laughed, teared up, got hot and bothered and smiled. A chance meeting after five years puts Brandon and Noel face to face. She’s about to hand out some tasty retribution in the form of a forcing Brandon to participate in Christmas. In the ultimate way. Can you say Santa? Little does she know, she’s about to be saddled to his sleigh as the Mrs. She thought she hated him all these years, but she’s realizing he’s changed. Brandon thought he’d moved on, but seeing Noel dressed as sexy Mrs. Claus showed him there’s only ever been her. Can Brandon and Noel make it through their time together without ending up on the Naughty List? Does a second chance at Christmas Eve make Brandon vow to never let her go again? I loved this story! It’s short, sweet, sexy and funny. There’s garland, Christmas lights, cheer and a sexy Santa. What starts out as a mandatory stint as St. Nick ends up being the best thing to ever happen to Brandon and Noel.

Cover Reveal, Excerpt & *Giveaway* – Reservations, Kindle Alexander

Release Date: Coming Soon

His mouth watered thinking about that vinegar coleslaw, and his stomach growled a little louder. Damn, he was starving. He should go out there and fix himself a plate, but he wouldn’t. That would only open a line of personal communication, and this restaurant had too much of that going on. Everyone but the customers were friends.
Instead of doing that, Thane buckled down and opened an email from Arik Layne. The email was to both him and Chef Ferico. The subject line read, “Whole Foods and HSN, Bitches!!!!” That instantly had Thane smiling. Arik had become a force in his life. The guy didn’t seem to understand the value of hesitancy. Arik was a mover and shaker. Their joint venture of infused olive oils had taken off like lightning. Arik had secured sales on thousands of bottles before manufacturing had started. Now that they had production underway, they were blowing and going like wildfire. All Arik had to do was pick up the phone, and he secured another sale.

Thane scanned the message, reading how Whole Foods planned to add them in a test market now, with mass distribution the beginning of October. That was all great news. Arik had also secured a spot on HSN in November, about two weeks before Thanksgiving. Somehow he’d managed to squeeze them into an already set schedule on foods for the holidays. They’d also be given time on the sales floor. The anticipated sales were around twenty-five thousand bottles.

Wow. Okay.

The last lines on the email made Thane squelch the urge to laugh out loud, not wanting to undermine the stern tone he’d taken with his staff, but, man, Arik was hilarious. He listed ten reasons why he’d be a better choice than Thane to go on the HSN broadcast with Chef Ferico. Every single bullet point ended with “because I really want to sample all the foods made that day.”
Literally, a man after his own heart.
Out of nothing more than the need to make Arik squirm, he decided to tease him. Thane quickly typed how glad he was for Arik’s effort, along with a note that they should at least flip a coin for the TV slot. He chose tails. Grinning, he pushed send as his cell phone began to vibrate in his pocket. With a glance at the screen, he saw Julian’s name and swiped to accept the call.
“Hey,” he said, putting the call on speaker before fishing his Bluetooth out of the computer bag and hooking it around his ear.
“Hey, yourself. You still coming here?”
“I am. It’ll be a few weeks though. Everything okay?”

“Of course, you know I run a tight ship, but I might have to break protocol.”
Thane began shaking his head no as if Julian could see him.

“I can almost hear you shaking your head no.”

“That’s because that’s what I’m doing. Absolutely no rule breakage, Julian. You do it one time and that opens the door…”

“Hang tight, Papi Chulo. Don’t get all bent. I’m telling you before I do it. That should count.”

The happy place he’d found after reading Arik’s hilarious message was on the fast track to crashing and burning as Thane sat back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Why?” he asked, instead of giving Julian the same dressing-down he’d just given this management team on the failures of flouting established protocol.

“Remember that kid I told you about months ago. My PT assistant, the one who got me into free counseling?”

Thane had to really think which was kind of funny. Julian’s care had been grossly expensive. He’d have thought he’d remember someone who’d saved him so much money in free counseling. He shrugged, lifting his brows, giving himself a break. He could vaguely recall the key components. “Maybe…”

“He needs a job.”
“We don’t hire our staff like that, Julian. Remember your training. Your guys…”

“Boss, slow your roll. He’s a med student taking care of his family, and he’s hot as hell. His body alone’ll make the customers very happy. Happy customers equal more money.”
“Is he in your previous line of work?” Thane asked, completely confused and trying to catch up.

“No. I want him for waitstaff at the club. I saw him last night, and he’s losing his job. He’s coming to the club tonight to take a look around. I’ll send his info off for a background check, but I’ll probably put him on the floor as early as tomorrow,” Julian stated matter-of-factly.

That was another huge issue he was having with Julian. The guy was a beast at work. He kept sticking his nose in every other manager’s responsibilities, causing all sorts of ill will. Julian was a man on a mission. He governed that club with an iron fist, all to try and repay Thane for the expensive care. “Have you talked with Dave about whether he needs more waitstaff?”

“Dave-the-douchebag quit today. You didn’t hear?” Julian said casually.
“What?” Thane pushed his fingers through his hair. Why was he just now hearing about this?

“Don’t worry. I got this. I’ll fill in until you figure out what to do. I, of course, think you just need to let me handle all personnel…”

“Stop, Julian. First, no one’s hired without passing a background check. I’m not watching anyone go through what you did again. And second, you better stop pissing off all my people. Until I talk to Dave and see if I can get him back, you can handle the waitstaff scheduling, but you aren’t…”
“Equipped to handle personnel issues,” Julian said, finishing his sentence. “Are you getting laid regularly? Because I’m pretty sure you’re not. You need to come on over here and bend me over this desk—”

“We have rules. I’m not having sex on that property, and I better not catch you having sex on that property!” Thane shot out, cutting Julian off.

“You’re a very difficult man, Thane Walker,” Julian replied, not missing a beat. “I’d say hard, but I have no way of truly knowing that.”

She was a disruption he never wanted.

He was everything she distrusted.

Klayton Caldwell owns a tattoo shop in Denver, Colorado, and has seen just about everything and met just about every kind of person. And they all have one thing in common. Ink.

He isn’t complicated. What you see is what you get. Sex? Always. Relationships? Never. Pleasantries? He doesn’t do that either. Those who can’t handle his mouth get inked elsewhere. Klayton holds everyone at a distance, even his friends. He doesn’t do “close.”

Until Madison ends up in his tattoo parlor, broken, afraid and alone. There’s something about her, and almost immediately, Klayton’s guard drops. Now, everything he knows about himself changes as his life begins to unravel.

Twenty-year-old Madison Hart’s future was taken from her the moment she was abducted from her college campus and held captive by a sicko. After escaping, she flees, running into a stranger. A stranger who shares a similar past. Someone who might be able to help her heal. If she’ll let him.

Madi comes into Klayton’s life like a storm. She’s beautiful. Pitiful. Dangerous. Her pain runs deep enough that she may never be able to talk about what she’s experienced. Her refusal to talk takes a level of patience Klayton’s not sure he has.

He must navigate her broken pieces by changing everything he is. Who he’s been all these years won’t work anymore. But Madi fights him, she fights herself. She fights the madness.

She refuses to talk. He can’t control his mouth. She doesn’t want to be touched. He can’t help himself. They don’t want love. Inside this storm, is a love so mad it might destroy them both.

MAD LOVE is book 1 in the Guns & Ink series from Shana Vanterpool. Look for the rest of the Guns & Ink series coming soon from Swoon Romance.

Mad Love is the first novel in the Guns & Ink series by one of my favorite authors, Shana Vanterpool. She is the Queen of writing about broken characters. I love being there for them during their journeys of putting their pieces back together again. I also know when I open one of her books, I will be going on an emotional rollercoaster. It’s beautiful really. The synopsis is perfection so I will try my best to make this short.
One broken bird. One broken artist. Two hearts that need to heal. Madison didn’t want to be a burden to him. He didn’t want her to feel like she was one. He knew he wasn’t the gentle type but he also knew he wasn’t a monster. Like the monster that did this to her. Broke her. Made her afraid to live. Afraid to be touched. Afraid to feel. He wanted her to do all of those things and more. He didn’t know why he cared. He only really cared for one person and that was not even himself. But he cared about the empty shell of a woman who took over his room. His space. Evidently his head. His body. And he was scared that she would take over his heart. He didn’t want to want her. She deserved more. She deserved to be loved by someone who deserved to be loved in return. He knew he wasn’t that person but did she? What would happen when she was back to herself? Back to the perfect person she once was?
I have read all of Shana’s novels. I actually love them so much that I stopped reading the synopsis’ until after I read the books. I didn’t need to. I knew I wanted to read it. I trust her. I trust she will give me a story to fall in love with. Characters that I will connect with. Unique storylines that will hook me in. Mad Love did that and more. It’s my favorite book written by Shana. I loved everything about it. I felt like I was in the book. I loved watching Madison and Klayton’s complicated relationship develop. It’s not easy. It’s not insta-love. It’s not flowers and butterflies. It’s madness. It’s raw. It’s beautiful. It’s epic.
Overall…it’s another masterpiece in the author’s collection! The writing is phenomenal. The story is perfectly imperfect. The characters are real. I cried, laughed, and cringed. I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite series written by Shana.
Quotes:
Kissing’s still mine.
“I don’t think they make cardigans in my size.”
She was a siren, and I was a man who didn’t mind being led to his destruction.

Blog Tour, Review & *Giveaway* – Survivor, T.M. Smith

September 4, 2017 By

Guess what… Survivor is available now!
I’m so excited to share this story with you, the first in a new series. There’s murder, suspense, romance and passion. What more could you want?? The synopsis and buy links are below, and be sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a surprise swag pack!

Taylor Langford’s world is torn apart when he is only thirteen years old—his parents killed, leaving him alone and orphaned. With no living relatives, he’d certainly be another statistic if not for the intervention of the policeman who found Taylor in the crawl space where his mother hid him that fateful night. Despite the tragedy and resulting anguish in his life, Taylor knows how lucky he is.

Frank Moore is a rookie with the Dallas Police Department when he and his partner answer a call in Devonshire, one of the city’s more affluent neighborhoods. They think the young boy in various pictures throughout the home has been kidnapped until they find him, shaken but alive. Officer Moore recognizes the pain in the kid’s eyes, having lost his own mother to cancer when he was just a boy. He steps in, making sure Taylor is placed with a loving foster family. Over the years, Frank becomes a permanent fixture in Taylor’s life.

A decade later, the case remains unsolved and the once gangly, uncertain teenager is now a college graduate who knows exactly what he wants. He’s coming home to the man that helped mold and shape his life, the man he’s loved for as long as he can remember, Frank Moore. But Taylor isn’t the only person returning to Dallas, and while Frank is distracted by his own conflicting feelings and the new bond growing between the two, the past creeps up on them, determined to finish what was started ten years earlier.
A note from the author…

I hope you enjoy Frank and Taylor’s story. It’s been a long road to get them settled, but I’m happy with where this story has taken them. When I started this book, the intent was to write a stand-alone story, but that has changed. Characters continually evolve throughout the writing process, and there are several characters in the book that want to tell their story. I’ve grown especially fond of Rory and I can’t wait to write his book, which will take us back to when he first joined the Bureau, and continue on to his happy ever after.
Please be advised: This is a May/December romance, and as in life, there are sexual situations that take place prior to the main characters finding their way to one another. This is not gratuitous; it is meant to show character growth and self-realization. There is absolutely no cheating.

Sandra's Review

Survivor is a standalone novel. I am a fan of T.M’s All Cocks series but this is the first book I have read by her that was not part of that series. I loved that it had a different feel to the story and the writing. I was hooked from the very first page. I am mystery kinda girl too so add that into a love story and I am addicted. The synopsis explains the story very well so I will make this quick.
Frank and Taylor had a special bond for the moment they locked eyes. At thirteen, Frank was Taylor’s rock after his parents are murdered. He found him a good home and spent time with him. Frank somewhat understood what the teen was going through. And through the years, they become best friends. Spending time together with family and friends at Martha’s Vineyard for summers. Then, during one of those trips things shift. And years later…Taylor isn’t a kid anymore and he knows what he wants. The man that he has loved. Frank. But, how does Frank feel about this? Can their special bond turn into more?
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this story going in but you know what…I loved it. It is not instant. The age difference isn’t a huge gap. The way T.M has the story flow makes it a beautiful story. Don’t get me wrong…it’s hot too later in the story. It also has the mystery of the unsolved murders too. Who is the stranger that entered that house ten years ago?
Overall…it’s a beautiful story. The morphing from one bond to another over the years. I am hoping that this turns into a series. There are a few characters I would love to again.
Quotes:
Much like the lighthouse on the beach across from the cottage at Martha’s Vineyard, Frank had been a beacon of hope for Taylor the past ten years.
“Are we in Kansas, Dorothy? Cause I could have sworn the missus and I flew into Massachusetts for some fun in the sun.”
One corner of Taylor’s mouth lifted, the grin wicked, dangerous, and promising.

A military brat born and raised at Ft. Benning Georgia;
TM Smith is an avid reader, reviewer and writer. A Texas transplant, she now
calls DFW her home. Most days she can be found curled up with a good book, or
ticking away on her next novel.
Smith is a single mom of three disturbingly outspoken and
decidedly different kids, one of which is Autistic. Besides her writing, she is
passionate about Autism advocacy and LGBT rights. Because, seriously people,
Love is Love!

Loyalty

That’s what it’s all about here.

I’d do anything for one of my brothers,
Even go with his old lady to a parent-teacher conference.
But when I see the sweet little number who’s the teacher,
Suddenly, school’s right up my alley.
She’s innocent, naive, and sexy as Hell.
Damn, I just want in her pants,
And to maybe teach her a thing or two.
And I’m not backing down,
I’ll get to her.
But if she ever finds out the truth about our connection,
It’ll sever the ties and ruin it all.
I’m just going to keep my mouth shut–
And all over her.
