Drowning is Margaret’s next emotional read. I know before I even open one of her books that I will need tissues, a warm blanket, and some silence. I don’t read many YA novels but Margaret’s are deep and the characters are mature.
Ivy is seventeen. A great student. An amazing friend. One hellava daughter. She is also beautiful and strong. She loves to people watch and photography. She doesn’t party. She would rather stay home and watch a movie with her best friend, Jared. She is also a cutter. It calms her. It keeps her demon quiet. Until he shows up again. Ivy has hidden her secret from the ones she loves. She doesn’t want them to think she is crazy. So she fights her demon alone.
Tobias is a new student. He is mysterious. Rides a motorcycle. All the girls want him. He only wants one. Ivy. The girl who doesn’t want his attention. But all he wants is hers. He sees through her. He has his own secrets. He knew he loved her from the moment he saw her. She was different. She was beautiful. She calmed him. But what would happen if he let his secrets out?
Tobias and Ivy’s relationship is beautiful. Heartbreaking. Complex. Fun. They go through so much together. But it’s not all about their love story. There is so much more to this story. It’s not an easy read and has triggers. Mental Health is a very important issue all around the world.
Overall…This was a story that needed to be told. I have been following Margaret for the last few years and I know she had a hard time writing this story but she kept at it. Tobias and Ivy’s story needed to be written. I feel it will help people. It will help them think about others. It will help people get the help they need. It has very serious issues throughout the books but I also laughed and felt the love.
“Because our darkness belongs together.”
Ivy, come play with me.

“Normal is subjective. What’s normal for you, may not be normal for me.”

**Write something worth reading**
I’m Margaret and I’m a self-published author.
Recently I was fortunate in obtaining New York Times best selling status on my YA/NA book – Ugly, and my YA book – Mistrust.
My last three books have been YA and I’m completely in love with the genre. I love being able to communicate with people through my words and stories.
My writing genres all differ, but the one thing I keep consistent is my heroines. All my female lead characters are strong, gutsy and not the ‘perfect’ woman. While my books all have romantic elements in them, they aren’t just about the romance. They’re about finding strength, acceptance and making life long connections.
I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have while writing them.

Release Blitz & 5 Heart Reviews – Craft, Adriana Locke

March 14, 2018 By

Title: Craft
Series: The Gibson Boys #2
Author: Adriana Locke
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 14, 2018
They’re not quite enemies. Not really friends.
More like frustrated balls of sexual tension and neither will give in.
Lance Gibson drives Mariah Malarkey absolutely
crazy. He uses her office like a phone booth, takes cupcakes from the corner of
her desk like she baked them just for him. She didn’t. Maybe she knew the
history teacher happened to love peanut butter icing, but that was purely a
coincidence. All sixteen times.
Mariah has a way of getting under Lance’s skin
too. She calls him out on his crap, spoils him even if inadvertently, and
seeing the librarian in skirts drives him wild. She won’t give in. It’s for the
best, really, considering there’s no way he could lie to a woman like that and
he’s not about to tell her the truth about himself. Not in a million years.
These two don’t hate each other. They don’t
really like each other. But for this to be a friends-to-lovers story, they have
to start somewhere, right?
Note: This can be read as a standalone novel.

Craft is the second book in the Gibson Boys series by the fantastic Adriana Locke. I’ve been a fan of Adriana’s since the very beginning and she keeps solidifying my fangirl status by writing characters who I can’t get enough of. I am loving these Gibson boys! As I said after I read Crank, I usually have a favorite brother from the first book. But with these men, I can’t pick one! It’s extremely frustrating and freeing at the same time! They are such a tight nit family, yet they are all so different. They may look alike (God help us all!), but their personalities, jobs, attitudes are very different. We met Lance in Crank. He’s the eldest brother. The sexy, one night stand having history teacher(be still my heart!). Lance is tall, dark and handsome. He’s smart, sassy and sexy. His dirty mouth is out of control and I wanted to slap him and kiss him at the same time. He loves to push Mariah’s buttons. She’s the sexy school librarian. He flaunts his women in front of her and steals her cupcakes. Ones he thinks are just for him. Mariah finds Lance Gibson irritating. Well, irritatingly hot with his good looks, sexy glasses and his love of the cupcakes she may or not make just for him. He’s a player with a capital P, but he’s awfully nice to look at and banter with. And fantasize about. But being with him isn’t a possibility. She wants long term, forever and Lance is very short term. Lance doesn’t hide his attracting for Mariah. He wants her. Badly. She’s not only hot, she’s fun, interesting and smart. He likes spending time with her and that has him all twisted up. Can their sexy, dirty, banter turn into something more? Will Lance finally trust someone enough with his secret? Could Mariah be the one he’s been waiting for? I loved this story! Lord have mercy, Lance Gibson is everything. Funny, smart, sexy, handsome, loyal, loving, vulnerable and dirty mouthed. The things that man says out loud make me blush! Mariah is independent, sassy and doesn’t let Lance get away with his crap! I loved that about her. She’s strong and sweet. She’s exactly the right woman to tame Lance Gibson. I loved seeing the other Gibson boys and Peck and I also loved a few of the students. I was great seeing Mr. Gibson interact with them. Overall, I loved it! I laughed, cried, got turned on, blushed and didn’t want it to end! Bring on Machlan!

“This isn’t a date,” I point out.

He considers this. “Yeah, I think it is. You just leveled up. From hippie to me. You’re winning today.”

“Do you live to annoy me?”

“No, but watching you get all hot and bothered does turn me on.”

“Oh my God. Stop it,” I hiss.

There are more than one of you?” she asks, her hand flying to her chest. “Your poor mother.”

“Oh, no, sweetheart. There’s only one of me.”

Her eyes roll around her head. “I’m sorry. I forgot who I was talking to.”

Sandra's Review

Craft is the second book in the Gibson Boys series. There is actually a novella in the Team Player Anthology and that is Cross’s story. He is an honorary Gibson Boy! Ok. Back to the Gibson Boys that I have grown to love. Crank was Walker’s story and now it’s time for his brother, Lance to get the girl. If she will let him.
Lance has been a frustrating pain in the ass to Mariah for the last few years. Using her office as a phone booth. Stealing her cupcakes. Making her blush. Making her go home every night all hot and bothered. You can cut the sexual tension with a knife. He loves to tease her. She won’t admit it but she loves it. They both get off on it. Usually at night when they need to take the edge off. Yes, it would be simple to just get on with it and have sex but Mariah won’t go there. She isn’t a one night stand type of girl. She is the forever kind.
Mariah is Lance’s wet dream. She is a sexy librarian but doesn’t know it. She makes the most delicious cupcakes and knows she would taste just as sweet. He has wanted her since the day he saw her but she is smart. She knows he isn’t good for her. He isn’t an asshole but he couldn’t give her what she wanted. A husband with two point five kids, and a house with a wrap-around porch. He could only give her one night. Lance was ok with their flirty banter until he wasn’t. He wanted to know more about her. He was so fucked…
Lance and Mariah’s relationship is well…complicated. They know what they can give and what they can’t. They both feel the heat between them but can they go there? If she goes there, will he stop coming by for cupcakes? If he goes there, will she hate him afterwards? Is the risk worth the reward? If they do go there, will it be more? Can Lance change his stripes?
I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! Lance is one swoon-worthy, filthy talking History teacher. Those glasses! Yum. Mariah is a beautiful woman who deserves to know that she is enough. She is stronger than she thinks. She is totally someone I would be friends with. Together, their banter is flirty, fun, and filthy. Their connection is beautiful and sexy. Their story is full of emotions, laughs, sexiness, and beauty.
Overall…it’s one swoon-worthy book that you do not want to miss! I was addicted from beginning to end. I loved the characters. The story. The romance. The fun. The heat. The banter. Everything. It was also fun to get to know the Gibson Boys even more! And Nana. She is a badass with heart.
“You deserve a great life. One filled with laughs and love and orgasms,” she winks.
“There are more than one of you?” she asks, her hand flying to her chest. “Your poor mother.”
“Oh, no, sweetheart. There’s only one of me.”
Her eyes roll around her head. “I’m sorry. I forgot who I was talking to.”
“How’d you get so wise?”
He takes his hat off and wipes his brow with the sleeve of his shirt. “Baby, I was born this way.”

Naked and exposed, we both look at each other in the warm light of this nearly

I think he

“Ah! It’s cold,” I let out.
“It’ll warm

breaking a few hearts—that’s all just part of the game. And I’m sure as hell
not sitting on the bench.

When my teammate asks me to be in his wedding party, I can’t refuse. Lucky for
me, the bridesmaid I’m paired with is the definition of eye candy, but she’s so
much more than that. Lacey Easton is totally irresistible and she makes me want
to be a better man. A glimpse of bare shoulder takes me back to a steamy,
two-week Vegas tryst I can’t forget. One I’m eager to repeat.

Suddenly our one-night stand is turning into the sequel. Still, Lacey’s keeping

“And we’ll

“I thought
I could get through this, but I can’t. I’m so fucking tired of the lies. I know

My heart

He stepped
closer, caging me against the wall, with his lips so close to mine. “No,” he
growled low. “I mean, I know who you are . . . Paige.” Keeping his eyes on
mine, he glided a hand down my bare back and reached inside my dress, circling
his fingers around my strawberry birthmark. My whole body broke out in chills.
“Did you seriously think I wouldn’t recognize you?”
“Took you
long enough,” I snapped.
“Oh, I knew
who you were right after you left me in Vegas.” My mouth dropped. “Yeah, that’s
right, sunshine. A well-paid private investigator can find out anything.”

Sweet Revenge is the third book in the Revenge series by one of my favorite authors, Natalie Wrye! I have read all of her books and have loved them all. I love a good suspense tied into romance and she gives me that. Every. Single. Time. I never see the twist coming and I love that! If you read the previous books in the series than you would have met Ana. She is Kat and Elena’s little sister.
Ana needs a big break. Colton wants sweet revenge. If they work together they could get what they want but at what expense?
Colton Evans has it all. An amazing football career. A condo in Miami. Women falling at his feet. What he doesn’t have is a family. A real one. He has a mom. A broken one. He has a father who threw him away. A brother who doesn’t want anything to do with him. Maybe, just maybe…this tell-all book that he wants to release will get him to acknowledge the truth. That Victor Foxx is not as perfect as everyone thinks. He wants this sweet revenge more than anything…
Ana needs him as a client. This could be the break that she has been hoping for since her last successful publishing deal. The one that had her riding high until it crashed down. She doesn’t even like football but she will if it gets her this deal. It’s expected. But what’s not expected is the mysterious, arrogant but sexy man who shows up to her office at Tripping Out! at the end of the day. A man who seems to be everywhere after that day. In her space. In her head. In her dreams. She doesn’t know who he is but that makes it just that more exciting.
Colton knows he should walk away. She doesn’t deserve this but it’s what he does. He fucks things up. He wants her. He can tell that she wants him. They are both fighting a losing battle. But what will happen when she finds out the truth? That he knows exactly who she is. His brother’s sister-in-law. She is part of the family that he wants to destroy. To win. That is his ultimate goal. Will he achieve it or lose it all?
Yep. Natalie got me again. I loved Colton and Ana. The mystery surrounding them. The chemistry they are fighting. Their banter full of laughter, flirt, and sexiness. If life didn’t get in the way, I would have read this book in one sitting.
Overall…I loved it! The writing is engaging. The story is addicting. The characters are both cracked but not broken. It was great catching up with the rest of the characters from the series. I am hoping there is more to come. Please, GG aka Natalie.
This is a dare that I’m dying to fucking win, that I can’t live without.
“Okay, angel. You asked for it…”
“Wow,” she comments, looking up at me. “Want to throw any more cliches in there?”

She stops in front of me, sticking
out a hand.
“Hi. Anastasia
Lexington. And you are?”
I’m shocked. She
doesn’t know who I am. I shake her hand. “Tom…” I hesitate. “Tom Brady. Pleased
to meet you.”
“Might I ask what
brings you to Tripping Out! publishing, Mister…” She pauses, pursing her lips
together. “Brady?”
“To be honest?” I
suddenly feel the need to be. “I don’t exactly know.” I scratch the back of my
head. “Guess I just wanted to get a good look at this place, see what goes on
“Can’t see much of
what goes on here from the lobby.” She almost smirks. “Got an appointment?”
I get the feeling
she already knows the answer. “No.”
“Someone know you’re
“Not at all.”
“Well, then, I’m
sorry, Mr. Brady.” The pretty brunette tilts her head. “Looks like
the lobby is the only thing you actually can see. We can’t allow you in any
further without a guest pass. I hope you understand. Have a good day.” She
starts to turn. I grab her wrist. The motion shocks us both. The brunette
gasps, and I hear her breath hitch. It’s softer than a sigh.
Her skin is silky
smooth and the second I touch it, I know I’ve made a mistake… because for some
reason, I don’t want to let it go. Her hazel eyes are almost the color of her
hair, and it’s as if they’re on fire when they look at me, searing my
sweat-stained skin. She smells like the hue of her dark honey irises, as if she
were literally caramel-coated, and everything below my waist stirs from the
blush creeping up her neck, the slight shine of her full lower lip.
I look harder.
This girl isn’t
just pretty; she’s fucking beautiful, and I can’t help but feel turned on by
her unapologetic spunk as she snatches her wrist away, fixing me with a glare
that could start fires. She takes a step back from me.
“Don’t ever touch
me,” she warns. She adds a softer note. “Please.”
It’s a justified
comment, but there’s something in me, some whisper hidden inside my mind that
tells me that that’s exactly what I want to do—what I want her to do.
No, more than that,
Right now, if I had
my way, that soft, satiny skin of hers would be begging for my touch… and I’d
only be too happy to oblige. She bites that lower lip, and I smile.

Sex God is the fourth book in the All-Stars series By Katie McCoy. Each book can be read as standalone. I will say that if you read Heart Throb then you have already met Mia as Penny’s best friend.
Eight years. Eight years since she has seen him. The college boy turned rock star that kissed her then broke her heart. Her brother’s best friend. A player. Then and now. She knows she should stay away but when she gets the opportunity to write his story. A story that could show her real talents, she can’t say no. She was over him so what could go wrong? It was just a crush. He probably doesn’t even remember that night.
Austin never forgot that kiss. He never forgot her. How could he? She made him want to keep going when others told him music wasn’t a real job. She was also the one that was off-limits to him. That night was a betrayal. A mistake he couldn’t regret. Over the years Luke mentioned his sister but never saw her. Not until an awkward run-in. He should just let it go but he couldn’t. He had to see her again. Had to show her that she was better than a Top Ten lister at her job. She was a writer and now, she would get an exclusive. Him as a solo artist. Can he keep his hands to himself while she is around?
Austin and Mia’s relationship is complicated, fun, sexy, and beautiful. Their banter is fun. The sexual tension is sexy. Their connection is beautiful. They just fit but can it really go anywhere? Luke is like a brother to Austin. He doesn’t want to ruin that friendship.
Overall…I love this series. It’s so much fun. It’s full of laughs, heat, heart, and beauty. As for this book…I laughed, cried, and swooned.
“Beyoncé did it.”
Zoey hooted with laughter. “Austin, I love you, dude, but you’re no Queen B.”
“Fine. Maybe I have changed. But so have you. You’re nothing like the guy I used to know.”
“Don’t say that,” Austin said, his voice quiet. “Some things are the same.”
“Oh yeah?” I demanded. “Show me one thing that’s the same.”
“Cold-hearted,” Austin teased. “I was warned about girls like you.”

A Privileged Novel
Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: New Adult Romance

If you’re in, you’ll never have to ask. If you ask,
you’ll never be in.
Eloise Mason knows what it’s like to live among the privileged. Seeking a
change from the upper crust society of Europe, she flies halfway across the
world for a semester abroad in the one place guaranteed to toss responsibility
out the window and provide some good, old-fashioned fun; college in The United

Except nothing at the picturesque, Ivy-covered university in Vermont appears as
it seems. And after a mysterious invitation arrives on her doorstep, curiosity
wins over the need to turn her back on games meant for the rich and ruthless.

Secret societies, risky tasks, and an inner circle to rival the royals. But it
may just be one American boy who threatens to be the most dangerous endeavor of

Colton Reiter defines the word idolized at Jade Mountain University. In fact,
he practically rules the roost from the three point line of the basketball
court. The college’s star point guard, he is a god and treated as such;
professional scouts at every game, teachers looking the other way when it comes
to grades, and girls falling into his lap at the snap of a finger. He wants for
nothing, or at least that’s what he wants everyone to believe.

But when he meets the sassy girl with the British accent who could care less
about his status, her very existence threatens to unveil the skeletons buried
deep in the back of his closet.

With stakes this high, and hearts on the line, can they turn their backs on
power and popularity before the ivory tower comes crashing down on their heads?

Elite is the second book in the Privileged series. It can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading the first one either before or after Elite to get to know Eloise better. She was definitely one of my faves from Privileged. Elite starts off a few years later…
Eloise wanted to get back to some normalcy after living the life of the rich and privileged in Paris. She will be studying aboard in Vermont for the next few months. She is eager to learn. To be more independent. To be a university gal in America. To maybe even meet a real life cowboy. To hit a frat party or two. What she didn’t expect was to be thrown into this world so quickly. A mysterious note on her bed intrigues her on her first day in town. Meeting a cheeky boy on her first night in a college pub.
A secret society that wants her. A basketball star who won’t give up. New friends who enjoy her company and her cooking. She could get used to this. Too bad it can only last for so long. One semester to be exact. She isn’t so sure about the secret society. The girls are the type she wanted to get away from but the mystery of the it all makes her want to finish what she started when she showed up to the boathouse. To be in not out. In the end is it worth it?
Now, for the basketball superstar. Colton is cocky as much as he is charming and handsome. She was warned to stay away from the boys on Greek row but she couldn’t stay away from him. There was something different about him. She didn’t know what it was but he seemed to get her. There was a connection from the moment they met. He felt it too. She didn’t fall at his feet. She did quite the opposite. She had mouth on her and with that accent, it made him want her even more. Not just in his bed. He knew this kind of woman is like a unicorn and he could not let her go.
Awe…I loved Colton and Eloise. Their banter is fun. Their connection is real. Their chemistry is hot. But the story isn’t just about them. He has his secrets. She has secrets to discover.
Overall…I loved it. It’s different. The elite part of it is intriguing. The secret societies. Maybe it’s because I don’t read many books based on a college campus. I never lived on one so it’s like a new world to me while reading. What I did love most was that Eloise wanted to find her normal.
“You’re going to have to try harder than that, superstar.”
“Oh, darling, I’m nobody’s baby.” The twinkle in Eloise’s eye is dangerous, and I like it.
“These are pigs in a blanket …”
Colton kisses me chastely on the cheek. “They’re pork with puff pastry, and that’s how I see them. Don’t be a downer.”
