The Realtor and the Rock Star by J.L. Berg: Finally making it big in the music industry means only one thing for Kennedy Kade — a coastal dream come true. Hell bent on finding the Malibu home of her dreams, she hired top realtor to the stars, Ryan Rhodes. He’s arrogant, hot as sin and has Kennedy wondering just what she’s gotten herself into. A rockstar and a realtor? Crazier things have happened!

The Right Direction by Kathy Coopmans: “Our someday will come soon, Joslyn.” Those words were the last words I heard from Roman Nixon before I walked away. After years apart, our opposite worlds collide. This time, we may get our someday. But first, we have to find a way to steer us in the right direction.

Rebel by Molly McAdams: The rock star who frequented my dreams and haunted my sheets.
The boy who vowed to be my forever.
The man who shattered my world.
I hated him.

Rocking the Racer by Erin Noelle: A second chance encounter between rock star Ashlynn Templeton and F1 driver Milan Barcelo leads to sparks flying even hotter than their first rendezvous, this time racing the clock and the chance of getting caught.

Holy fucking hotness! That was one sexy as sin ride. I have only read a few books by Erin but after this I need to add more to my list. Especially the series that has these characters.

Play Me by Jessica Prince: I was the responsible one, the care taker, the girl who made all the right decisions. Until I met Maddox Sheppard. Now he’s turned my world upside down, and I’m loving every minute of it.

What About Us? By Yessi Smith: We were a fleeting moment that passed too quickly.
A spark, a sizzle that faded with her.
When chance brings us back together, I’m set on showing her sometimes life does give us a fairy tale.

The Song by Rachel Van Dyken: Even rockstars have tender hearts–especially when it comes to building a family.

Awe! I loved this short story. I don’t want to get into it too much but I will say that if you are a fan of Rachel Van Dyken’s Seaside Pictures and Ruin series’ this is a must read. It’s cute, fun, and sexy. If you haven’t read the series’ or even anything by RVD then read it. It will give you a small glimpse to her wonderful writing and characters.

Kara's Review

I love all things Rachel Van Dyken. Especially the heroes I met when I first discovered her. Gabe and Wes are at the top of that list for me. The Song is the perfect glimpse into their lives and the lives of Zane and a few of my other favorite characters. Gabe and Saylor get more happily ever after and the family and loyalty just keep coming. Now we just need more WES!

To Feel Loved by Jennifer Van Wyk: One look at her and I knew one night wouldn’t be enough.
One look at him and I desperately wanted something I lost long ago… to feel loved.

Kara's Review

I’m a huge fan of Jennifer Van Wyk. Her writing is flawless, her characters so well developed and her stories top notch. I laugh, cry, swoon and cheer. To Feel Loved is a short story that packs a big punch. It definitely left me wanting way more Brandon and Savannah! If you’ve read Jennifer’s other books, A Better Place and From the Ground Up, you have met some of these characters. If you are new to Jennifer, go and get her books. You can thank me later! Brandon is Lauren and Josh’s son. He’s sexy, sweet and the lead singer in a band. He sees Savannah in the crowd with his sister and he can’t take his eyes off her. He knows just by looking at her that she’s different and he wants her. He’s never wanted another woman this way. And he doesn’t want just one night. Savannah feels the connection with Brandon as soon as they lock eyes. She’s drawn to him. As soon as they meet the sparks fly. Brandon isn’t going to let her go without a fight. Is love at first sight real? Will Brandon and Savannah give in and let love take them? I loved this story. Brandon is perfection and we better see him again!  It’s a short story, but it’s not rushed and it is full of heart!

“Okay then, why do you need to know me?

“Because my heart told me so.”

Cardinal Sins by Kristin Vayden: Cardinal has many sins.
Wrath: Because she stole what belonged to him.
Envy: For every other man that’s known her touch.
Greed: For wanting her back—against his better judgment.
But even the wicked can find redemption—and sometimes it starts with revenge.

A Better Place is my first book my Jennifer Van Wyk and she’s made me a forever fan! It’s one of my favorites of the year! It’s so refreshing to read a new author and just love their words. Her writing is fresh and witty and I was laughing out loud and smiling most of the time. These characters are well developed, intelligent, funny and have strong chemistry. James has been living his life, raising his daughter by himself. It’s time for him to do something for himself now. He hasn’t met a woman who interested him until he sets eyes on Carly. There’s something different about her. The way they meet is EPIC! I was dying! Carly hasn’t looked at a man with interest in a very long time. But she can’t keep her eyes off the sexy, tattooed man who walked into the room. She’s having inappropriate thoughts about him in her classroom and it’s hilarious!

James has to know everything about her and he’s going to use his niece to get his intel. Once James finally spends time with her, that’s it. He’s a goner. But Carly isn’t going to make it easy on him, but that’s ok. He’s relentless. In a good way. Can James show Carly how to live again? Will Carly trust in James and his big heart? I loved watching this story unfold! James is swoonworthy with his sexiness and his sense of humor! I love the dork in him! Carly is one strong leading lady! Overall, I loved every second of it and couldn’t wait to see what James was going to say next! I want more from James and Carly. You hear me, Jennifer? Novella. Something? 🙂

“Why?”

“Yeah. Why? I mean, I’m nothing…”

“You’re everything.”

“You don’t even know me.”

“And yet I already know that you’re everything.”

Swoon.

“Never be sorry for sitting on me, or lying on me, basically touching me in any way.”

“You’re kind of wonderful, you know that?” I tell him.

“Nah, it’s pretty simple when I’m with you.”

“Can I come in?” he asks, still standing on my front porch under the soft glow of the porch light.

“Oh! Yeah. Of course. Let me just let Jack know you’re here,” I say over my shoulder as I make my way back into the house.

“Wait. Can I talk to you? Just for a quick second?” he asks, reaching out and touching my hand and stopping me.

“Sure.” I nod my head. “What about?” I ask as I lean against the back of the couch in the living room. I reach over and grab one of the cream-colored throw pillows and hug it to my chest. It gives me a sense of comfort, and stops me from fidgeting — or reaching out and tugging him close to kiss the crap out of him. That might not give him the right idea for just staying friends.

“I have a favor to ask,” he hedges but hastily continues, “and I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t really important, and it’s a strictly friendship favor. I promise.”

“James. I know I’ve been a little… determined to keep it in the friend-zone, and you’ve never crossed the line. I can’t tell you how much your patience means to me. I trust you. I promise.”

“Yeah? I’m not being too pushy?”

“No.”

“Okay. Good. That’s good. I would never want to do anything to make you feel uncomfortable.”

There’s not a single molecule in my body that doesn’t believe that. “I know. And you haven’t.”

“Would you go to a wedding with me?” he blurts out.

“What?!” I ask, surprise evident in my voice.

“I’m sorry. I just kind of blurted that out, huh? Let me start over. My niece, Emily, is getting married a few weeks after Christmas. It’s only about two hours from here, but I wondered if you would be my plus-one? And I’d love for you to meet Lily, and she’s been so swamped lately that she hasn’t had a chance to spend much time here. I guess she’ll be here for Christmas, so maybe you can meet then, but yeah. And, Tess will be there, obviously, so you would know someone.”

“I don’t know, James. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m honored that you invited me, or thought of me…”

“No one else I would think of,” he murmurs before I continue with my protest that I know will just fall flat anyway.

“You don’t want to bring someone else?”

“Like who?” he challenges, turning his head to the side.

I shrug my shoulders and say the only name that comes to mind. “Christine?”

They actually seem like a logical couple to me, both being in the food-service industry. Both being single parents of daughters. But even though there’s so much that seems right about those two together — and I love Christine dearly — the thought of it makes me physically ill.

He’s shaking his head before I even finish saying her name.

“There’s no one else I would rather bring with me to this wedding, Carly. Jack can come with us, if you’re worried about it being too date-like. I told you I would keep it in the friend-zone, and I don’t go back on my promises. But that doesn’t mean that I want to stop getting to know you better or spending time with you.”

“Can I think about it?” I ask, already knowing that he’ll break me down, and my answer will be yes.

His smile stretches across his scruff-covered face. I was never big on facial hair, but the way James does it makes shaving seem like it should be a crime. Apparently, anything James does makes me change my views. Tattoos? Used to make me turn the other direction. Now? Hot enough to lick. Facial hair? Used to make me think lazy and dingy. Now? I want to run my fingers through it and lick. Either I’m severely hard up, or James is getting burrowed deep under my skin.

“Of course. But let me sweeten the pot. This way you can answer that question that you’ve been dying to have answered since the moment you met me.”

I giggle quietly. “Oh yeah? And what’s that?”

“Who’s the cooler uncle, Dean or myself?”

I almost burst out laughing. He’s so lighthearted and full of life. He’s truly just a fun guy to be around — always a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He could have become a bitter and cynical man after being left to raise a daughter on his own. Instead he embraced it.

“Oh, that question! I already figured it out!”

“It’s not hard to realize, right?” he said as he puffed his chest out a bit, giving me an impish grin.

“Nope. Dean is obviously the way cooler one between you two.” I press my lips together to stop the smile threatening to take over my face.

“Carly,” he warns playfully as he takes a step toward me.

“What? He’s probably not boring, and I’m sure way better looking.”

“Oh really?”

Two steps.

I nod my head seriously. “And in way better shape,” I say, almost choking on the words.

“You think so?”

Another step.

“I’m positive. And cooking? Pssshhh. Hands down, I bet he’s better in the…”

I squeal and take off running through the house as James advances one step closer, a deep growl escaping his throat.

I burst out laughing. Heavy footfalls follow me, making my heart race in anticipation. I round the kitchen island and spread my hands across it, breathless from laughing and running. “Maybe I had it wrong this whole time, and he’s Captain and you’re Private?”

“Take it back,” he says, smiling, his own hands spread wide across the wooden countertop of the island.

I turn my head to the side. “What? Take what back?” I ask innocently.

“Carly,” he warns again.

I tap my finger on my chin, feeling more playful and lighter than I have in years. “Hmmm, maybe I will have to come with you to the wedding. See what the younger Cole brother has to live up to.”

His eyes flash, and I know I’m in trouble, but I can’t seem to stop. “Oh, you think you’re so funny, don’t you?”

I giggle and shrug my shoulders as I start to take steps toward him. He turns and saunters my way, flipping his ball cap backward, our eyes never leaving each other’s. “I think I’m a little funny,” I say as I continue walking toward him, holding my finger and thumb up with only a little space apart.

“Funny or delusional?”

Saunter.

Step.

I guffaw and press my hand to my chest. “Delusional? Who’s the delusional one here?”

Saunter.

Step.

“You’ll see.”

Saunter.

Step.

“I’ll see the awesomeness of Dean? I have no doubts.”

Saunter.

Step.

And I’m suddenly hanging upside down over James’s shoulder being carried back into the living room.

“Aggghhh! James! Put me dow…” I laugh. “I’ll pee! James! Seriously!” I’m laughing so hard that tears are already forming in my eyes.

He tosses me on the couch and pounces, his large body covering mine in a very non-friendly way, but I don’t say a thing. I can’t say a thing. While we have not been overly touchy in the weeks that we’ve known each other, we also haven’t refrained from showing each other small amounts of affection. He always puts his hand on the small of my back when we’re walking, and he’s held my hand when we were crossing the street to go for supper. This, though? This is by far the most affection and feeling we have shown each other.

“Take it back,” he repeats, his eyes heated and voice husky, his arms pinning my hands above me, our fingers threaded together so perfectly it felt like they were made for each other.

“Hmm? What was that?”

“I said…” He lowers his face so we’re nose to nose. “…take…” His nose skims the length of my neck. “…it…” Deep inhale. “…back.”

Heart flutters.

Flips.

Flops.

Kaboom!

My breathing picks up, and I know in this moment that I have two choices:

  1. Melt into a pile of goo. Which I’m basically well on my way to doing.
  2. Take matters into my own hands.

I choose option two.

I pull my hands free, frame his face, and pull him down closer. His eyes heat and flit over mine questioningly. And I do something I’ve been wanting to do for what feels like ever.

I lick him, from jawline to temple.

I lay my head back down on the pillow and watch as his face transforms from lust-filled to incredulous.

“Did you just… lick me?”

“I did.”

“I don’t know what to do with that,” he admits.

He pushes himself into sitting position, and I shimmy up the couch, crossing my legs and tucking my hair behind my ears. He’s facing forward. Slowly he turns his face toward me. “You licked me,” he says like he still can’t believe it.

“Yup,” I say. I have no clue why I did it, other than I just wanted to, so giving an explanation isn’t even an option at this point.

“First time your tongue was on me…” He trails off, looking away again.

A giggle bursts out of me, and I quickly put my hand up to my mouth to hold it in.

James shakes his head at me, stands up, and places his hands on his hips. He narrows his eyes and points at me. “Now you have to go to the wedding with me.”

“For the lick?”

“Wedding for the lick.” My eyes widen, and he continues. “That’s right. I said it. You licked me. Therefore, we wedding.”

“That’s not even grammatically correct!” Stupid argument? Probably.

“That’s your defense against going?”

“Hey! It’s true!”

“Be that as it may, doesn’t change the fact that you licked me. And we’re now going to a wedding. Together. Hi, Plus-One.”

I hear a deep snort from the other side of the room and gasp when I see Jack standing in the doorway to the living room, his broad shoulder leaning against the opening, an amused expression on his face.

“You guys are so weird,” he says, pointing to the two of us.

“You say weird. I say awesome,” James says. “Just wait and see who the best Cole man is when you both join me for Emily’s wedding.”

“Why am I being sucked in to this thing?” he asks. “I hate weddings. I don’t wedding.”

“Maggie will be there. In a dress. She’s a bridesmaid.”

“I’ll be there.”

James snorts and looks my way, winks, and my entire body goes up in flames. Bye-bye wall I built so strongly.

James huffed and puffed, and it blew right down.

My world changed when I met Bellamy Morgan.
Just one problem — she’s my little sister’s best friend.

synopsis

I’m not “damaged.” No horrible childhood or demons in my past I’m trying to outrun. In fact, my family is ideal — funny, supportive and filled with couples that all follow “our” golden rule:

Find her. Protect her. Love only her, with everything you are, every day, for the rest of your life.

So why is it the mere thought of a monogamous relationship, more than one night with the same woman, sends me bolting in the other direction?

Because I hadn’t met Bellamy Morgan yet.

When I do cross paths with her, everything starts to slowly make sense. Why men change overnight — suddenly blind to all women but her, happy to hold her purse and watch corny movies.

Just one problem — she’s my little sister’s best friend.

Embody is a spin-off, STANDALONE novel from the bestselling Evolve Series.

review

I love SE Hall. I’ve read all of her books. All of them and I love every single one. The Evolve series is one of my all-time favorite series’ ever. Those characters will forever be a part of my soul. I love the Crew and forever will, but they need to move the eff over and make room for the Squad! I will forever love me some Sawyer Beckett, but after reading Endure, Dane skyrocketed to the top of my list. Not that I didn’t love him before, but I’ve been cured. Embody, the first book in the Full Circle series, is JT’s story. Dane’s son. Now I love Dane even more and Jefferson Tate is at the top of my list. Sweet Jesus in heaven. JT is a player, but he’s a gentleman because his parents and aunts and uncles raised him right. Brynn has a new best friend and that’s rare for her so she wants to hold onto her as hard as she can. When she sees the way JT looks at Bellamy, she’s not happy. She doesn’t want her brother to go after her friend and ruin their friendship. But, JT knows there’s something different about sweet Bellamy and he’s not going to stop pursing her. Family hilarity ensues between JT, Brynn and the rest of the Squad and the Crew. I seriously thought I was going to die from laughing! JT is relentless when he goes after Bellamy. Like father like son! Bellamy is hilarious and isn’t going to just let Jefferson tell her what to do, even though that turns her on. She pushes back and it makes it even hotter. Can a relationship between a former playboy and an innocent girl work? Seriously. This book! I loved every word, every second, every page. The Kendrick Alpha Force is in full effect! JT is sexy and sweet with a dirty mouth. Bellamy is innocent, but not naïve and she’s gorgeous! Another Kendrick is tamed by a sweet, sassy woman! Bring on Presley!

“Dad, I can’t talk very loud.”

“Why not? Are you ok? Put them on the phone, I’ll pay whatever they want.”

“Dad, I haven’t been abducted for ransom. I just don’t want Bellamy to hear me. Simmer down, Superman.”

“I’m not exactly sure what this is, but I know it’s different than anything I’ve ever been a part of before. And I like it. I like you, us.”

“I said something stupid, you slapped me across the face. I learned not to say shit like that again and you got me for it. Does that conclude the fight?”

excerpt

JT

Going to fucking attack her. In the nicest way possible of course, but attack nonetheless.

She expects me to sit still, way over here, when I could be on her in one move? Sliding my tongue over the firm swells about to topple out of her top. Inching those little panties down her long, smooth legs to sink my face into her sweet, bare pussy.

Yeah, this isn’t gonna work for me. My baby’s smokin’ hot body is barely hidden, a few teasing strips of lace the only things standing between me and fucking nirvana. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t show her, Right. Now. How good I can make her feel?

And what has gotten into her? My sweet, shy, virginal Bellamy has gone all wildcat on me…not that I’m complaining, just wondering is all.

She knows I’m looking my fill; her cheeks flushed a beautiful, innocent pink, her chest rising and falling with her shallow breaths. God, I want her. Want to devour every single part of her, slowly the first time—memorizing all the trembles, whimpers and soft moans I know she’ll give me. Then start over, like a fucking savage—biting, sucking and tasting until she begs me inside her, never to leave.

I hear my own deep, frenzied breaths as I adjust my rock-hard cock, threatening to bust out of my zipper. Feeling the leak of pre-cum, the deep, pulling ache in my balls.

“Jefferson,” she purrs my name, uncrossing her legs only to sexily cross them again. “I see I have your undivided attention, so there’s a few things we need to discuss.”

“Do I want to eat you out? Yes.”

She gasps, as though offended, but the sheer lace betrays her, showcasing her nipples that harden into sharp little points, begging for my mouth.

Her lids droop lazily and a desire, need, matching my own shapes her raspy voice. “No, and don’t be so vulgar. We already talked about lying, so we won’t rehash that. We will, however, move on to other behaviors that need rectified. I believe in positive reinforcement and since you speak Mars and I speak Venus, we’re gonna learn to meet in the middle and speak Earth. Thus, my risqué ensemble.”

“I don’t care if we talk in Neptunish, so long as you keep wearing it. Or let me take it off you,” I practically howl, nearing my breaking point.

“The car,” she breezes right over my reasonable request and states in a no-nonsense voice. “I didn’t want it, and don’t feel comfortable having it forced upon me. Jefferson, what you need to learn is how to harness your protective, alpha instinct in a way that makes me want what you want. It’s called finesse. The fine line between turning me on so much that I can’t wait to make you happy and pissing me off so bad I want to slap you, again. Now, tell me what would be a better way to approach that type of thing next time.”

She brushes her long, auburn locks behind her shoulders, giving me an unencumbered view of her chest and beautiful, mouthwatering cleavage. And I’m supposed to think?

“Baby,” I try not to whine like a virgin with the tip already in, “I don’t know the answer. Help me out here, I’m dying.”

“Why did you insist on the car?” She may be trying to pull off “emboldened,” but her hand trembles as she lowers one thin strap of her top a few inches off her shoulder, baring just a hint of one swollen, dark pink areola. I groan in actual pain, shifting again to give my swelling cock some room to suffer.

“Because I care about you, very much, and the thought of your long bus rides with God only knows how many horny, ill-mannered men makes me crazy. With a car, you can sleep in, sit down and have a decent breakfast, toss your books in the backseat and give us more time to spend together. Time we currently spend chasing each other around town because of bus schedules, my job and miscommunication.”

That’s what you should have said, discussed with me before pulling into the dealership. Do you see the difference?”

“I see part of your nipple.” I scoot to the edge of the couch.

She shakes her head with an exasperated tsk and no, God, no…pulls the strap back up.

“Okay, I get it! Pull it back down, baby.”

“Try it. Pretend it’s yesterday and talk to me about your car idea.” She grins, thriving on my torture.

Any thought I’ve ever had about luring Bellamy out of her shell, building her comfort level to be physical with me…this is not what I had in mind. Leave it to my feisty lil’ woman to switch up the plans on me.

I begin to recite the same speech I just gave her, inserting a “please,” “whatever you want,” and “totally up to you” as often as I can. When I’ve said all I can possibly think of in a deep, sexy voice, I wait.

“Very good, babe. Remember that though next time you get some crazy idea on rearranging my life or bossing me into something. I don’t want lip service. I want mutual respect, and sexy assertion that I can’t resist, even when I’m clothed.” She dazzles me with a disarming smile…and lowers the left strap all the way down.

Fucking beautiful. Real, round, high, firm and topped with a rosy nipple of the perfect size. My chest vibrates with my approving rumble, my lips and fingers both twitching for a sample.

“Bellamy,” I warn her, feral and untamed, scooting closer, the very edge of the couch quickly disappearing.

“Stay put, Jefferson. I mean it. We’re not done. I’ll be paying the sales tax and the fee to register the car. And if things between us don’t work out, I’ll be giving it back.”

Precious. But wrong. So wrong. “The sales tax was paid as part of the deal. If paying to register it makes you happy, fine. As for the other,” I slowly inhale, weighing the consequences, and decide to go on, “I don’t want to think about us not working out.”

“I don’t either,” she smiles sweetly. Glad she agrees because not working out simply isn’t an option. “You’re quite the quick study, Jefferson.” Her hooded, jade eyes hold my gaze prisoner as she slips the right strap down over the tan slope of her shoulder. Her whole, gorgeous chest is bared to me now, skin flushing under my unwavering, lascivious stare.

My girl is stacked. If I wasn’t a “boob guy” before…I sure as hell am now.

“Baby, damn. I have to touch you,” I growl, starting to rise.

Title: Intended for Bristol
Series: Second Chances
Author: L.P. Dover
Genre: Romantic Suspense

intended-for-bristol

synopsis

L. P. Dover’s tantalizing Second Chances series scores once again as the Carolina Cougars’ infamous bad boy takes a shot at seducing a driven career woman who’s supposed to be out of bounds.

Trying to live down his very public indiscretions, Carolina Cougars kicker Jaxon Reed feels like the most hated man in the NFL. Fans and teammates alike treat him with the disrespect he figures he deserves. Unfortunately for them, Jaxon’s no easy target. As payback, he sets his sights on the quarterback’s sister: a sultry brunette who’s curvy, confident, and sexy as hell. But what begins as a revenge fling turns into so much more—a lesson in humanity, and in love.

Bristol Thomas doesn’t have time for games, especially those played by her brother’s Neanderthal teammates. A talented interior designer with lofty goals, she doesn’t know the first thing about football, or Jaxon—except that he’s exactly the type of man she usually avoids. But when his deep laugh and deeper kisses break through her walls, she becomes the target of a fan who’s obsessed with Jaxon. Now she needs to know that Jaxon has her back . . . because he already has her heart.

excerpt

Hey,” I squealed, waving my hand in the air. I was so happy my brother would finally get to meet Jack.

He walked toward me with a smile, but when he caught sight of Jack, that smile turned into an all-out heated glare. “What the fuck are you doing here?” he growled, quickening his pace.

Jack froze and gripped my arm, grumbling, “Shit,” before pulling me around to face him. “Bristol, listen to me. This isn’t how I wanted you to find out.”

Everything was happening so fast, I didn’t know what to think. “Find out what?” I asked desperately.

Before he could reply, Ryan ripped me out of Jack’s hold and pushed him away. Jaw tense, Jack was ready to fight, but I couldn’t let that happen. “Ryan, stop!” I shouted, digging my nails in his shoulder.

Jerking his head around, he glared straight at me. “Do you even know who this cocksucker is? He’s playing you to get back at me.”

I threw my hands in the air. “What the hell are you talking about? How do you even know him?”

Jack’s eyes never left mine, the anguish on his face making me sicker by the second. I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like what came out of Ryan’s mouth. He scoffed incredulously and spat at Jack. “He’s Jaxon fucking Reed, the asshole on the team I’ve been telling you about. Don’t tell me you didn’t know?”

Jack stepped forward, but then again, that wasn’t his name. It was Jaxon Reed.

Sandra's Review

Intended for Bristol is the eighth book in the Second Chances series. They can each be read as standalone but do have there connections. I have only read the last three in the series and that is where I met Jaxon. He isn’t exactly the most liked player on the Carolina Cougars NFL team. But everyone deserves a second chance, right?

The team needs a new quarterback and the best choice they have is Ryan Delaney. He is known to be an arrogant prick. Jaxon is not happy about his new teammate and after the first day of practice he is out for blood. When the opportunity arises for revenge, he sets his sights on the woman that is with Ryan. But, what he doesn’t know is that Bristol isn’t Ryan’s girlfriend but his sister. He doesn’t care. He felt something before he even knew who she was. Maybe this revenge will be even sweeter than he thought. What he didn’t expect was falling for her. He was fucked.

Bristol was excited to have Ryan in Carolina. She wasn’t a fan of football especially of the players but she was a fan of his. She didn’t even watch his games because of her past with a football player that made he learn her lesson – stay far, far away from them. They were only after a piece of an ass and it wasn’t going to be her’s again. She didn’t have time to date anyway with her career as an interior designer for a premium company. That was until she meets Jack. A mystery man. A man that made her swoon and knees weak. He wasn’t a football player but he was still dangerous. She didn’t know much about him but he made her feel beautiful, special, and ready. Ready to move forward. Would she feel the same if she knew his secrets?

Jaxon and Bristol go through so much throughout the book. There are swoon-worthy moments. Heartbreaking ones. And so batshit crazy ones too. They are a strong couple with some obstacles in their way. I loved Bristol. She is an independent, beautiful, and take charge kind of woman. Jaxon wasn’t my favorite character in the previous books but I had a feeling he was more than what we saw and I am happy to say that he is. He is yummy. Talented. And protective. He also has a big heart. Together, they are pretty much awesome.

Overall…it was a wonderful addition to the series. It was sexy with a twist of suspense. It was great to see what the other couples were up to. I hope this isn’t the last of the series.

Quotes:

“I knew that was jealousy I saw on your face. I thought it was hot.”

“What? Can you not get the door unlocked?” she teased.

“Now lie back. You always take control, but tonight it’s my turn.”

Without any uncertainty, she strips out of her clothes and leaves them on the floor next to mine, then smiles brilliantly up at me in her bra and panties, her quiet confidence a major fucking turn-on. “What now, bossypants?”

“The rest of it,” I order, my hungry gaze roaming up and down her curvy frame. “As much as I’d love to rip that lace from your gorgeous body with my own hands, that’s gonna have to wait until next time. Now, get naked and climb your cute little ass up in my bed. Where you belong.”

“Already so confident there’s gonna be a next time, huh?” she purrs.

A feral growl rumbles in my chest. “Naked. Bed. Now.”

review

Sandra's Review

I have read a few of Erin’s books and Megaballs is completely different from the others. They had some humor but this book is fucking hilarious from start to finish. Of course there is some serious, and sexy parts but it’s more of a comedy and I loved every single minute of it!

Finley is a twenty-one year old student and waitress at a upscale restaurant in San Francisco. She also lives with her older sister Farrah and her six year old niece Fiona. She works her ass off to help pay the bills and take care of Fiona when her sister is at work. They aren’t poor but they weren’t exactly swimming in money either. Living paycheck to paycheck. So when Finley is having horrible luck and her day is only getting worse she hopes it means it is turning around when her first customer is a sexy man in a suit with blue eyes that make her melt. No such luck…well, not until later that night when the lottery ticket he left her made her 270 million dollars richer!

Teague only flew into San Francisco from Iowa to deal with business. The family corn farming business. That was when he meet Finley, the woman that he hasn’t been able to get out of his head. He had his reasons for not contacting her after that night. And since that night every thing has changed. In both his personal and business life. His head is spinning and with no guarantees in sight he might have to start his life over at age thirty. It might not be a big deal to anyone else but his family business means everything to him. He vowed when he was only nine years old that he would be rich with his account and in his heart. Both could be empty someday soon. His luck needs to change or fate needs to come knocking on his door.

Teague and Finley do finally meet again but it doesn’t go exactly as planned. But with these two…nothing ever does. They are both in the stages of major changes in their lives so everything seems to be unpredictable except for Fiona’s British accent (I will explain in a bit). They had one conversation that could have led to dessert weeks ago but now that they exchange more than a few sentences, is that attraction still there? Was Finley dreaming it up all along? And will Teague go back to his predictable ways?

No joke…I have never snorted so much while reading a book in my life. Finley and Farrah made me laugh but it was Fiona with her fake British accent that made me rolling. She is only six but she doesn’t know that. She is smart, sassy, and a bit bossy. There is one chapter with her POV and I was dying! 😂 Then there is Farrah. She is spacey, butchers the English language and wants to have fun but she is such an amazing mom too. The three of them together is comedy gold.

Of course, I have to talk about Finley…she is beautiful inside and out, funny, and wants everyone to be happy but also responsible. She doesn’t want the money to change them too much. Then there is Mr. Sexy Eyes, Teague. He might be all business but that is just on the outside. He is sexy as all get out in a suit but he is also sexy in jeans and work boots. There is a lot more to him than his sexy eyes. He loves his farm, his Grandpa, and is discovering what else is most important to him.

Overall…this is a hilarious read with a twist of sexiness and heart. It was definitely a unique ride!

Quotes:

“I prefer to eat my dessert in bed.”

“Don’t worry, Aunt Finley, and I apologise that some of these wankers were so dodgy.” Fiona frowns. “You can bugger off, and I’ll get things sorted down here.

“That’s cause I’m a twenty-first century kind of prince, Squirt.”

synopsis

Wild, reckless, and fast.

That’s how I raced until a fatal accident on the track ruined my riding career. I had no choice but to leave that life behind; at least, until now. My name is Logan Chandler, one of the best FBI agents in the country. When an old friend calls for help and winds up dead, I take matters into my own hands. In order to do that, I have to go back to my past, back to the racetrack and to the one girl I never thought I’d see again . . . Kassidy Bennett.

She’s the key to solving it all, but bringing her in could put her in grave danger. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize she was already there. To save her, I have to put everything on the line. It’s a race against time, a race to the death, and only one will make it to the end.

Audiobook

Sandra's Review

Hide-Sided is the third book in the Armed & Dangerous series. Each book can be read as a standalone since they are all different couples. They do have a connections however. I met Logan Chandler in Roped In and was so excited that he was getting his own book. I knew it was going to be a wild ride and I was so right! This is Logan and Kassidy’s story…
Eight years. It’s been eight years since Logan broke Kassidy’s heart, and now he was back to try to piece it back together again after the loss of one of their best friends. He knew there was something odd going on when Levi asked him to come home to figure out who is targeting Bennett Pro Racing Team. The team that he was a part when he had his accident and it also happens to be Kassidy’s family’s team. He wasn’t going to come home but now that Levi was dead, there wasn’t anything that would keep him away. Even his past regrets. He knew Kassidy wouldn’t be happy to see him but luckily he could still read her like nobody can. Will he be able to get her forgiveness so they can work together to solve Levi’s murder and bring the bastard down?
Kassidy couldn’t believe Logan is back. He left her and everybody else behind eight years ago and never looked back. That was what she believed anyway. He had his side of the story. She wants to believe him. To trust him again. After Logan tells her that his dream of becoming an FBI agent came true and he is there to help her family, she knows she has to get over their past and work together. It would be so much easier if she hated him but she doesn’t. She wants him more now than ever. Damn him. His career takes him undercover for months at a time and is very dangerous. Does he even want her back or will he leave the minute the case is solved?
Logan isn’t alone when it comes to the case. He has his partner Micah working undercover with a rival race team. He also has Kassidy and her father on his side. This case is anything but easy. Kassidy’s father had a secret life that has added possible suspects. And this isn’t just about Levi’s murder. Past situations are questioned. But the biggest question is can they solve it before somebody else is hurt or even killed?
I loved this story because it has love, suspense, and passion all wrapped up in one awesome package. Logan and Kassidy’s loveis felt even during the times of hatred on her part. The passion is never questioned between these two. Everyone sees it even when they didn’t want to. Then there is the suspense. I love reading a book and piecing together a mystery. It hooks me in! I couldn’t read it fast enough.
Overall…it’s a sexy, suspenseful, and fun read. I can’t wait for the next book. I have a feeling I know who is next up but not goin’ tell.
Quotes:
“I see you’re still the overprotective ass you were before.” The sound of his chuckle made my chest ache. I used to love hearing it, long ago.
“We can’t get them back, but we can always make up for what we lost.”
“Laugh it up, asshole,” Micah grumbled

review

Sandra's Review

S.E Hall has done it again! She wrote a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and stayed that way until the very end. I know when I read one of her books that it’s going to be a crazy beautiful ride! This is Henley’s story…
Henley hasn’t been home in eight years. She was seventeen when she said goodbye to Ashfall. She was living in sunny San Diego when she got the call that it was time to come home and make some life-changing decisions. The minute she steps into the town she called home she felt shame and guilt. She didn’t get to say goodbye to her mother. She never got a chance to ask for her forgiveness. And she definitely doesn’t think that she deserves the family farm even though she is the last one standing. In the last eight years she built up a wall around herself and doesn’t want to let anyone in. She had no idea that there would be two Cowboys when she got home that would be trying to break it down. Her farmhand and Keaton Fucking Cash…
Henley and Keaton have been neighbors since they were kids. Ever since the day Keaton met Henley he has known how to push her buttons. And even though its been eight years, it’s like they were never apart. He still knows exactly what to say to set her off and he loves it. He loves seeing feisty Henley is back. He knew she would be back one day but not under such sad circumstances. He wants to help her around the farm but she doesn’t want his help. She doesn’t need it. She has Gatlin for that. The farmhand that took her by surprise in a few ways. She actually feels comfortable around him from the start, and he seems to know exactly what to say when she needs some motivation. Even when it comes to Keaton, her past nemesis that she wants to loathe but can’t. He is being too damn sweet, and it doesn’t help that farming has made him sexier than ever. She doesn’t even know if she could trust him but he is determined to let him in.
This is a love story but it’s also a journey for Henley to find herself and figure out where exactly she belongs. Her path has taken her home for a reason and now she has to decide if she can stay in Ashfall with all of her memories. The good, the bad, and the ugly ones. Gatlin is there to show her the ropes and for his amazing monologues. Keaton is there to protect her like he always has, show her that she is stronger than she believes, and to surprise and wear her the fuck out at every turn. It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking journey of self-discovery, friendship, and love.
I love Keaton, Gatlin, and Henley! Keaton is protective, sweet, funny, and damn sexy with his alpha cowboy ways. Gatlin is always there when Henley needs him, insightful, and one sexy cowboy. No of course there is Henley. She has been through so much over the years but she is still standing. She is beautiful inside and out, smart, and fucking sassy.
Overall…it’s one of my favorite S.E Hall books! It’s beautiful, funny, emotional, and sexy! I didn’t want it to end.
Quotes:
“You gonna come over here and meet your horses, or stand there and fuck me with those baby blues all day? I’m fine with either, just thought I’d ask.”
“Hey, Romeo,” I snap my fingers. “Quit watching so much Lifetime, there stud. You’re killing your whole ‘I’m the man’ vibe.”
“You wanna play cowgirl, I got something you can ride anytime you want.”

Is it possible to be a superfan? SE Hall is one of my favorite authors. She delivers exactly what I need every time. Fantastic writing, complex characters, laughter, tears, suspense and heat. Henley has returned home after eight years. She’s not happy to be home, there are too many bad memories there. But, she’s the only one left and someone has to take over the family farm. She’s not sure she can do this. Walk back into town and wonder if everyone is pointing and staring. When she meets Gatlin, the farmhand, she starts to believe she can do this with his help. He’s quick with a helping hand and a monologue full of wise words and heart-felt advice. Then she’s reminded who lives next door. Keaton Fucking Cash. She’s afraid he’s going to want to buy her farm and that is not going to happen. After a few run-ins with the sexy Keaten, she starts remembering that he was always there for her growing up. She never knew how he felt, even though she felt the same. It wasn’t meant to be. He was supposed to be with someone else. He has a lot of things to say to Henley, mostly that he’s not going to let her get away again. He’s going to make her see that they are forever. He’s going to be there for her every step of the way. Even though she doesn’t want his help. She has to prove to herself, Keaton, Gatlin, and the town, that she can do it without their help. But, a few dreams point her in the direction of forgiveness. She learns to ask for help. To trust in herself. To let go of the past. To believe in love and happily ever after. To believe in herself. I loved this story! Henley made me laugh and cry! I loved her strength and her big heart. Keaton loves her something fierce. He’s not just sexy. He’s smart, dedicated and isn’t going to take no for an answer!

“I can be both, Hen. Your best friend and your man. I can be everything you need.”

“I assure you, Darlin’, my trigger is anything but quick. In fact, you’ll squeeze yours off multiple times before I even cock back my hammer.”

“You’re being a chauvinistic pig.”

“Oink.”

cowboy couple lean back kiss neck

excerpt

“No, Keaton. I was bored and thought I’d come play ‘tag’ with ‘em for a little while.”

“Then you’re doing a helluva job, ‘cause they’re fixin’ to tag ya back.”

What’s he blathering about now? I turn and look…but refuse to sigh or show any sign of defeat…that some of the cows, are in fact, wandering back into the field I just shooed them out of.

Really? I seem to remember—open the gate to where the food is—they’ll go. So why they’re not cooperating now, in what has to be the first time since Noah let two of them on the Arc, has to be some weird conspiracy just to embarrass me in front of Keaton.

“Let me help you,” he says too kindly, moving to do so before I can refuse.

He uses his hat to swipe at the few remaining anarchist cows, sending them on their way. And Lord knows why, but I take a moment to peruse him…see just exactly how he turned out, physically anyway.

Hair still as black as the Stetson in his hand, jeans still as tight as he’s always played his cards to his chest. Every movement precise and purposeful, nothing wasted, just like he’s always been: good at everything.

Except recognizing value in the most valuable.

Back in the day, he’d been the boy to watch. A football star, a rodeo champ…and watch them they did—every girl in town.

You can put up a front… but destiny already has your back

synopsis

After eight years, Henley Calvert is headed home. Back to the family farm and small town she left behind, never to be thought of again.

Too much regret and shame to bear.

But she’s the only one left to see to her family’s legacy, so she must return to Ashfall and face all the ghosts that haunt her.

****

Gatlin Holt, the family farmhand, awaits her arrival, and lends a hand—in more ways than one. He reacquaints Henley with the lay of the land while helping her heal her soul with a new outlook on life.

Yet every time she thinks some peace may be within reach, Henley hits another roadblock. The biggest of which is Keaton Cash—her childhood nemesis who owns the farm next door.

****

And no, it’s not a love triangle. That’s impossible when Henley’s heart is closed, incapable of love.

Get ready for Finley and Teague – and find out if she slaps him or rings his MEGABALLS!

Synopsis

I’ve got 99 problems but money ain’t one. Though a sister with cotton candy for brains, a spatula-wielding six-year-old niece with a British accent, and the mysterious businessman who left me that damn ticket are all currently vying for the top spot.

When I became the sole winner of a $270 million Megaball jackpot, thanks to a sexy stranger who left a lottery ticket instead of paying for his meal, my entire world flipped upside-down.

Now, with money-sucking vultures, douchebags by the dozens, and a horde of total hotties just waiting to get their mangy paws on my newfound fortune, I set out to locate the man who gifted me the winning ticket–to properly thank him.

However, when I finally find the cocky, self-absorbed business tycoon, Teague Goodman, I’m not sure whether I want to slap him… or ring his MEGABALLS.
