Dissolution is the twelfth and final (No!!) book in the Eagle Elite series by the queen of the mafia, Rachel Van Dyken. You can read each book as standalone, I didn’t start the series till book nine (I will get those first eight in one day!) This one I do believe is my favorite. I cried and laughed so hard!

He saved her and now he needs to protect her. Katya. The gorgeous blonde who’s strong as hell and has no idea who she is. A threat’s been made on all five families and now Santino has to do something he’s never done before. Protect someone he cares about. Katya doesn’t know anything about her family. She and her brother have been on their own for a long time and now she’s being rescued and taken somewhere to meet the mafia. Oh joy. She’s not afraid. She’s not going to cower. But she’s also not going to be a victim again. She just has to convince Santino to train her. Santino didn’t live a normal life. You never show fear. You don’t have feelings. And now this woman has turned his world upside down and he’s dodging bullets from his allies. He doesn’t know who to trust, but the more time he spends with Nixon, Chase, Phoenix, Andrei, Dante and Sergio, the more he understands. They are The Cosa Nostra but they aren’t the bad guys. He doesn’t want out, he just wants to keep Katya safe. Even if it’s from himself. Holy shit! This freaking book gutted me. I pretty much cried for the second half of the story. Santino, I love you. Sergio, I love you. I love them all. What a way to end the series. It makes me sad just to type that. These men and their women have been like family to me for ten years. TEN years. I feel like I’ve shared meals, wine, secrets, sacrifices, life and death with them. My heart has been broken and sewed back together so many times. Santino somehow filled in all the cracks and made it whole again. I couldn’t love this book more. I laughed, cried big fat tears, smiled, laughed and cried more. It was just perfection. Thank you, Rachel for giving us these families and their loved ones!

I’m hoping we see a lot more of them since Bash has a brotherhood of friends who don’t seem to go together, but they do! And let’s not forget Joey, Rowe’s cousin. He’s freaking hilarious and loyal! I pretty much loved everything about this book. The lies, the truths, the connection, the laughs, the sexiness, the friends. I didn’t expect to shed a few tears, but I did and it was awesome! Cute but Psycho is the third book in the Gator Bait MC series by Lani Lynn Vale. We met Etienne and Matilda in Good Trouble and their story is an enemies-to-lovers romance! Etienne is friends with Bain and just out of jail. When he meets Matilda there’s something about her that he really likes. But she seems to hate him. He doesn’t know why, but he’s building her new clinic so he’s going to see her a lot so he has to get her to like him. Matilda has a crappy family. No one really loved her and she just wants to feel loved and safe. She also has sensory issues and people are jerks to her! She’s smart, pretty and speaks her mind. Once she and Etienne clear the air, she likes him again. They have a lot in common and he loves the things about her that make her unique. He knows just how to talk to her and give her what she needs. Their story was funny, sexy and emotional. It’s not my favorite of the series, I just couldn’t connect with these characters like I usually do. But I’m looking forward to more from the series!

Holy f*ck, Batman that was hot!!! Each book gets more intense, emotional, and sexy as sin. I can’t get into the storyline without spoilers so I won’t go there. I can say that I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The whole series, really. I had to know what was going to happen next. Will she tell Archer, Cannon, and Kingston why she is there? Will she get the answers she is looking for? Are one of them involved in Will’s disappearance? What the hell happened?!?! And I was also on edge about the naughty times too and hot damn *fans self* and each time Archer touched his suspenders I would get all hot and bothered *swoon* I loved that in each book we got to know each brother individually and all together. It is soooo hard to have a favorite. I love them all so much!!

I am so excited to see what Leila has for us next! ♥️

Rocky Start is the fourth book in the A-List Security series by Annabeth Albert. I really loved this series and Avery and Malik’s story was a great addition. This is a double awakening and I loved it! Malik is big, strong, ex naval intelligence officer for special forces and Avery is and ex SEAL. They work at A-List Security together and on Valentine’s Day find themselves dateless so they go on a platonic date. The night takes a turn toward the physical in which they both enjoy, but in contrast to Malik’s easy going attitude about doing what you enjoy, Avery freaks out. When they have to spend weeks together on a movie in Colorado sharing a room, they both discover they might not be as straight as they thought. Avery really struggles with his sexuality. He’s lived his life in the shadow of a famous football dad and he was a SEAL. He’s supposed to be manly and tough. But Malik shows him how to stop hating who he is and embrace who he wants to be. Avery fights it every step of the way, but when he realizes he’s happier than he has ever been because of Malik, he starts to think maybe he can wear the silk and love his blond curls. Admit that he’s not straight. I loved these two together. Malik is so caring and patient and level-headed and suffers from PTSD and therapy has taught him a lot. Avery is a hot mess for a while. He lost an arm and has no idea who he is or what he wants to do with his life. Once he realizes he can be anything he wants as long as Malik is with him, it’s glorious to watch him. He’s so sexy and sweet. I thought the writing was fantastic and I laughed and cried! Their kink was delicious and I just loved how supportive they were of each other. I loved so many of the secondary characters and loved seeing some old friends. I’m sad the series is over but I’m looking forward to what Annabeth has next for us!
