Mafia King is a novella in the Mafia Royals series by Rachel Van Dyken. Rachel is the queen of mafia and I’m addicted to this series! This is Tank and Kartina’s story! Tank didn’t start out as part of the family. He was FBI but now he’s working both sides. It’s almost time for him to choose and you know, Blood In, No Out. He has one last job, guard Kartini, or Tiny. He’s known her for a while and it’s pretty clear she hates him. But you know what they say about love and hate. Turns out she doesn’t hate him at all, it’s more of an annoying crush! Now they are sleeping in the same hotel suite and trying to behave. Tank swore to protect her at all costs and he isn’t about to disappoint Sergio, her father. He knows how that story ends. Will Tank and Tiny make it out alive or will they kill each other? Oh man! I loved this story! I’ve loved Tank since we met him and he lived up to all my expectations and more! Kartini is freaking hilarious and just the woman for him! Can’t wait to find out who’s next!

Mafia King is a novella in the Mafia Royals series by Rachel Van Dyken. You can read it as standalone but I highly recommend reading the the series so you are caught up with the mafia royalty.
Tank’s life changed when he went undercover for the FBI to get closer to the Five Families. He wanted to take them down while getting closer to the college-aged princes and princesses of the families. What he didn’t expect was to like them. Understand them. And wanting to protect them especially her. Kartini aka Tiny.
Kartini didn’t want or need a babysitter but he was always there. Tank De Lange. FBI informant. It wasn’t a secret. He was toeing the line and had to choose where his loyalty lied. She wanted to hate him for being the enemy. In truth, she had a crush on him. But , they could never be. Her father would kill him. Sergio was her hero but he would shoot Tank if he ever hurt his princess. Would the risk be worth it? One little kiss wouldn’t hurt, right?
Blood in, No out.
I have been waiting for the book and it was soooo worth the wait. Tiny is badass wrapped up in a delicate package. Tank is delicious and more than just a man living a double life. I can’t wait for the next book!

Foes & Cons is Carrie Aarons’s newest standalone novel. I have read most of Carrie’s books and have loved them all but this one might just be my favorite! I love bully romances and this is one but one the lighter side of dark ones. It’s the perfect blend of bully and sweet. The synopsis is awesome so I will make this short. Ok, if you follow my reviews…I see you rolling your eyes. Lol
Sawyer and Blair have been best friends since well…forever. Their dads are business partners and best friends. They have been together for every holiday, celebration, and losses. Then at sixteen, it all changed in one night. It started with the pros and cons list and ended with seven minutes in Heaven. A few weeks later, they were enemies. Everyone in school knew it. It was not a hidden secret but what was a secret was the reason for the broken friendship. And now, after two years of torture, pranks, and evil eyes it was coming to a head…
Blair was not going to cower anymore. She was done. It was their senior year and she wasn’t going to let her asshole ex-best friend ruin it. She changed over the summer and her confidence was at an all-time high. She hated the distance between them but just because he made her weak in the knees she wasn’t going to let him walk all over her. She was over it until it was all too much.
Sawyer has always been confused about his feelings towards his best friend turned nemesis. You know what they say about that thin line between love and hate. He was there right on it. Will this year be the year he crosses the line? Will he destroy them forever or go for it?
Ok…I am rolling my eyes too. I can’t help it!! This book is addicting. It has the perfect mix of angst, lust, love, and hate. I wanted to slap Sawyer then hug him. The ass. I love Blair, she comes into her own and takes names. Together, I felt the connection between them. The tension too. Good and bad. Yum!
